We complain that we were non competetive against top 4 sides and then we complain when he does not select the Grima's, Greenwood's etc?
I like Narni aswell, but he is 27 and while his 2009-2010 was very good he was pretty ordinary last year.
Luke and Cam Delaney at 23 and 20 respectively are going to be in the right age bracket when we start having a tilt at the title (if this group is good enough).
He also needs fast rebounding players for the counterpunch came style, in which Cam Delaney certainly is.
Scott is clearly trying to revamp a backline that has probably been one of the worst in the comp for 2 or 3 years.
While Scott McMahon was very good early, I think there is only room for Firrito or him in the team.
A back six of the Delaneys (23 and 20), Atley (20), Firrito, Thompson and probably McKenzie (18) is where we are heading, which I think is a good thing.

That back six got destroyed by the Bulldogs... nuff said!

McMahon was ideal match up for Dickson, who comes from a long line of Bulldogs hacks who play a decent game and will never be heard of again (John Georgiades)

Our best backline players have been Thompson and Sam Wright.

I think Atley has been very solid down back this year.

Dickson got a hold of him a few times in the one on one. But kicks to advantage do that to the best of defenders.

He has been very good when the ball is in dispute with his gather and pace away from the contest. It can really set us up. I think Brad will persist with him most.

I would like to see a back 6 that consisted of.

McMahon - L. Delaney - Thompson
Atley - Grima - Firrito

Sammy has been very good down back. But I would like to see him used forward again. Even is it's at the expense of someone like Harper.

Dickson - Danny Del-re of 2012. :)

Really.
I thought the midfield got destroyed.
If you spend as much time here as OS you understand how ludacris some calls are.

When are you clowns going to stop blaming the back line and start blaming the lazy work of the midfielders. They wouldn't be on the back foot and under pressure all the time if the ball wasn't down there all game.

Atley, Wright, Hunter, Spud have been pretty great to be honest.

Whilst I agree that the midfield is the problem, Sammy Wright has hit the wall as a defender. Needs to be moved to half forward asap.

Yep was Swallows fault Spud went to ground in marking contests or just running around and the magical Tory F****** Dickson booted 4....Give me a break. !!!

It was the midfields fault Ayce "James Hird" Cordy and that absolute freak Tory Dickson took 4 and 3 contested marks.....

Our back's will perform so much better against the lesser lights in the AFL...Just you wait and see. Poor buggers having to deal with those stars!!!!

When the ball is turned over like we did and Ryan Griffen is kicking the pill inside fifty each time Archer and Mick Martyn would look like ordinary backmen.

I'm really sad for Keys Grima. First his brother was delisted in no certain terms. Then Dave Trotter didn't come on as expected off the rookie list & now I am appalled as to the delicious treatment of him nowadays. So once again, it's time to talk turkey - I am tehditler bizi dehşete d*ş*rd*, Nathan Grima. Bence Nathan Grima mutlaka terfi için bu hafta hem Delaneys. Gobble, gobble, gobble.
