18,000 at AAMI - Time for Port to goto the Gold Coast

It's obvious isn't it? There are too many teams in Adelaide! The competition simply cannot afford to prop up weak clubs like this anymore! Especially when the AFL is only making about 20 gajillion dollars per Broadcast deal.

On a cold and wet Saturday night, on a long weekend, against such a high-drawing club as Fremantle, for Port to be able to only attract 18,000 to the game is a disgrace. BigFooty will no doubt be up in arms over this! Such a travesty! Such an embarrassment! What a basket-case of a club!

There is one area of the country that has a proud heritage of being an Aussie Rules footy stronghold, and it is the future of the competition. I refer of course to the Gold Coast.

Clearly the AFL doesn't want to have a 17 team competition complete with bye's each round. Therefore, I am sure we can all get behind the proposed relocation of Port Adelaide to the Gold Coast.

So I assume I have unanimous support for this proposal?

Apologies to Port fans. I actually love your club, as I reckon North and Port are the two most 'fair-dinkum, working class' clubs in the league. Of course I don't want you to relocate. I don't want any club to. This post is meant to be an example of the sheer amount of crap North gets on the main board. It's irony, bitches!

I like North too.

This is a great promo that describes the clubs:

He actually edited his post 10 mins later after he was gettin drilled by everyone.

Yes I did, but that was only to fix a typo. Everything else you see there is how it was at time of posting.

lol anyone notice it is always shitty weather for port games its like gods way of saying not to support them. :D

I reckon we have some kind of curse on us where the rain only comes when we're playing badly.

We had a terrific run with rain in the earlier part of the decade, we just never seemed to get bucketed down on. I reckon i've been soaked more times in the last 2 years than in the previous 6.

Next time, buy a dictionary that includes the word "sarcasm".

I agree Howard, he should have. But go easy on him, sometimes you miss the meaning of some words, and I guess it's necessary to travel around a bit to find a really good dictionary. He should've gone to the Gold Coast, I hear there's a nice bookshop down there where he could buy a decent one...

Burn NMELB supporters.

It's ironic that your attempt of irony has come back to bite you.

It's nice to see someone working to perfect the art of tautology. I was afraid that skill had been lost...

For a North Melbourne fan to start a thread about this makes me want to laugh.

Cast your mind back to when North Melbourne played Port Adelaide under a roof on a clear Saturday night.

14,000 turned up.

And the following week. North Melbourne v Freo. Once again on a Saturday this time pulling 15,000.

Before you slag off Port Adelaide fans and the club and state that they need to move, look at the your own club and look at there fical fans and how they are killing there own club.

Even without the fine print obviously pointing it out, this is clearly irony. If you can't grasp this I worry for you.

This thread is $#&^!!* hilarious. :D

Yeah I agree, love the fact that some people dont get the irony, or even read the fine print.

By the way, the side that had the least amount of supporters at a "home ground" game was Stkilda.

I was at that game yesterday, and there were more Nth supporters there then StKilda supporters, explain that. (And yes I know it was an "away" game for StKilda, but please, you couldve got a seat up top for 1/2 price if you are a Stkilda member)
