No no no, straight in, surely drop JVR so we can have about 3 working legs between the whole forward line! The bigger the injury the more chance Goody selects them.
Unless it's McAdam

Melk to rot at Casey rest of the year before a 6 minute farewell as sub.

He would be handy to have coming in this week to play the defensive forward role he's done before on McGovern, but that's way too much to expect. Hopefully he can get up to speed quickly in the VFL and work his way back in to the team for a few games by season's end.

Love the campaigner and exactly what we need in that front half. But holy s* this has similar vibes to rushing the Ox back after he did his knee. What could go wrong!?

This has been around an 11 month recovery compared to the Ox trying to come back in less than 3. No VFL games is a worry, but most pro athletes fall in to the 9-12 month recovery windows for ACL reconstructions these days so the time frame is at least reasonable. Fingers crossed he has rehabbed well and can make a difference for us over the next few months.

By all reports he is a professional preparer and hard trainer. Alway played stronger/taller than he looks. Strong through the hips and core.

It's always heart in mouth stuff first few games back so fingers crossed. We could use some Mongrel bastard and forward craft.

I can't see I'm giving us anything less than when McAdam was in - or petty for that matter... Rather him than billings/Laurie reprive.

Coming into the year I was hoping to see a Fritsch/melk/McAdam combo in the back end of the year - they are all awkward sizes/matchups for opposition as they play taller but are crafty at ground level and snapping around body.

Talisman of the the team and is in there to create defensive pressure on the oppos talls and to take the heat away from our young forward line. Methcoast will have to respect him or he could end up kicking a few as well

I thought selecting him was stupid. But he came in and had an impact. Really happy for the bloke, you can see that he’s an absolute pro. We need more with his attitude on the list.

Would make a fantastic forwards coach for a club looking to improve their 'forward connection' IMO.

I feel like at the backend of last year he was pretty much doing an on field coaching role with the forwards up until he did his ACL
