Player Watch #18: Jake Melksham – the Melkman lives for 2025

He would be handy to have coming in this week to play the defensive forward role he's done before on McGovern, but that's way too much to expect. Hopefully he can get up to speed quickly in the VFL and work his way back in to the team for a few games by season's end.
We need one of our small to medium forwards to play defensive forward, to stop McGrath's run form defence, linking them up.

And send ANB to shut down Merrett.

Yeah, I don't really know what round 1 forward line Goody actually has in mind.

If it's four or all of Petty, Turner, JVR, Fritta and Melk together...
The great spargo comeback of 2025 (probably at another club)

What was Melk's best year with us? 2018?
I remember him being a bit of a whipping boy until Goodwin moved him to the forwardline. But I looked back and in his first year with us he still managed to kick 21 goals.

Yeah by quite a lot. He probably should have been AA that year.
Goal assist king, his kicking inside 50 was rated just about best in comp from memory.
