Thing that shits me (everyone) is that like the AFL then Prelims/Champs are the true GF for fans attending. The actual GF and SB is just a corporate/celebrity shit fest where dickhead celebrities like Mark Wahlberg leave early and miss the greatest comeback in SB history.

Still think the GF feels more like a big name than the SB in terms of atmosphere. I can only judge from TV as I haven’t been to a SB. I went to the Dogs v Swans GF and it felt like a Dogs home final. I suppose they all do for Vic v interstate teams. Anyway I’m waffling..
in the 80s and 90s it was like you say, more because the games were all blow outs (bar the bengals two losses) and very much celebrities went to those more often than they do today.

whereas since about the titans-rams super bowl onwards the games have been very close thrilling games.

Probably more corporates/celebs now than before

Sadly I doubt we'll see another Superbowl in the Rose Bowl, as it doesn't have nearly enough luxury boxes, especially compared to the billion dollar behemoths going up around the league.
Yeah i know. but the NFL can always make an exception to its rules.

They made one for the Super Bowl in NY where the rule is for the average Feb weather to be 50F.

I would love nothing more than for a Super Bowl at Lambeau or the Rose Bowl. but realistically i dont see either of them getting one.
Im still sad that the Rams went with the LA memorial Colosseum as the temp location over the Rose Bowl.

Its why the Rose Bowl will always be the grandaddy of them all and the only College Bowl game that still gets hype against the CFP. the magic and look of the sunset over the San Gabriel mountains will never be replicated in any stadium.

Just cycle thru Miami, Santa Clara, Rose Bowl, Tampa Bay, Arizona, and possibly the new LA and LV. New Orleans/Atlanta/Dallas/Houston not wanted
Hell no on Santa Clara.
Last place Id want it (Well, at least bottom 3 - With Buffalo and Washington). Design is terrible. Doesn't trap in noise, so you need a rowdy crowd to get anything there. Youre not getting that in a Super Bowl. The lighting from the shadows and everything makes it imo the 2nd worst stadium, ive seen in daylight hours (only better than an opened roof Marvel Stadium) I just think back to Super Bowl 50. There were 2 stages of that game. Unbearable (Kickoff through Beyoncé) and okay (Bruno Mars through final whistle) Put that stadium on the East Coast and I might, MIGHT tolerate it as the later local kickoff takes away the shit shadow problems. But the stadium design still does nothing for me.

Also, I had previously hated how often it goes to Florida. (15 of the first 44 - so 1 in 3) but they can have one again. Been 10 years...…(nek minut - 2 in a row...…)

Here's how Id rate the 30 stadiums

A (Absolutely would love it here) - Los Angeles, Las Vegas, Minnesota, Atlanta, Arizona
B (Wouldn't complain) - Houston, Dallas
C (Indifferent) - New York, New England, Indianapolis, Green Bay, Chicago, Philadelphia, Tampa Bay, Seattle
D (Will complain) - Miami, Pittsburgh, Kansas City, Denver, New Orleans, Carolina
E (Will wonder what the **** is wrong with NFL management) - Jacksonville, Tennessee, Detroit, Cincinnati, Baltimore
F (Hell to the no) - Buffalo, Cleveland, Washington, San Francisco

It's very loud there. At least for 49ers games. SB is a different story of course

There's no sun on the field for the SB. I don't know what made it unbearable for you?

Maybe not on the field
But the wide shots are blinding. That opening kickoff is ugly as hell.

Just watched the halftime show

For some reason I remembered Beyoncé as before Bruno Mars. Was wrong on that
But its about the 9:30-10:00 stage in the video (near the end of Beyonces song) where the sun was low enough it didn't detract from my viewing anymore.

What is wrong with Ford Field?

I would love one in Lambeau too, but it's in the middle of butt f*ck nowhere. Hotels are minimal too so there'd be a whole lot of air bnb's from the locals. I’dertainly stay there!! Some pics of the packer houses we went past in Lombardi Av when we went last year

One of the podcasters I listen to tells the story of a recent superbowl he was at & these 2 guys seated in front of him, at one point one turns to the other & asks why everyone was cheering after a punt was downed inside the 10. I'm sure the same shit goes on at every afl gf as well.

lol didn't even realise. i must have missed his post announcing his candidacy for president of the bandwagoners

bandwagon.exe

His been pining for a QB who throws a ball as well as Marino his whole life. And now he's found him.

Sheesh Dodgy, it’d be like moving a race from Silverstone or Monza to Yas Marina Circuit or Sochi!!

Calder Park you idiot! If it good enough for Guns 'n' Roses it's good enough for the NFL.
