Ex-Docker Griffin Logue has shed light on his high-profile trade to North Melbourne in Stan’s new AFL documentary Show Me The Money II, saying he felt unwanted and got back in the team because of luck.
The former top-10 pick, who was traded to the Kangaroos on a five-year deal last year, played 64 games in six seasons at Fremantle including a career-high 20 in 2022.
But he was thrown around in a variety of positions, omitted several times and received late lifelines when others were injured.
“You don’t have to be a footy genius to work out that out, you feel like you’re really not wanted kind of thing,” Logue said.

“There’s clearly not a place for me right now there. I only really got back in the team through luck really.”
Logue’s manager, Colin Young of Corporate Sports Australia, said alarm bells started ringing when Fremantle’s low-ball contract offer came through early in the season and was astonished by the unprecedented amount of rival interest.
“The alarm bells started ringing when we sort of asked for a contract from Freo,” Young said.
“I did mention that he would be happy to stay for two more years at the same money, so when they didn’t offer the same money and less I thought ‘we are in trouble here’.
“Griff rang me, I think it was April or May and said ‘you might have to start looking around’.
“I think we had about nine to 10 clubs ring, it was extraordinary. It was more than I’ve had for any other player.”
Logue, 24, said to Young he initially didn’t feel right about chatting with other AFL clubs and wanted to remain loyal, but Luke Jackson’s impending arrival from Melbourne forced him to assess his options.
“I remember saying to you, I just don’t feel right talking to someone else,” he said.
“I remember feeling so uneasy about it, it’s like you’re almost cheating on someone kind of thing.”
The Stan Original Documentary Show Me The Money II premieres at 2pm on Thursday, only on Stan.

McKay better get used to being roasted by Griff if he keeps up with the half arsed efforts like yesterday.

It’s about time we had someone in that backline that is ready to give blokes a spray when they are taking the piss.

Let’s hope it was a bad day, because McKay looked unprofessional yesterday with some of his efforts.
