India have won the toss and are batting, Tendulkar is rocking along, back into international cricket. Pathan has been promoted up the order, for some big hitting. Sehwag caught behind off Vass in the 7th over for 20.

India 81/1 (12.5) RR: 6.23

Sehwag - 20 (25)
Tendulkar - 44* (44)
Pathan - 10* (12)

Vass - 1/33 (6)

good to see tendulkar back.

india doing it easy at the moment with him at the wicket. pathan showing his worth with the bat also.

1/137 off 21 overs
tendulkar 64*
pathan 43*

Since when has pathan been an accomplished batsmen and why is dravid so low??
It's at 1/144 after 21 overs, so this could be a massive score if they keep going at this rate. Pathan 49 off 40 Tendulkar 65 off 68

India Roaring along especially Pathan, and who said this bloke is a dud cricketer? Only performs against Bangladesh and Zimbabwe? Looks like he is batting better than fine against Sri Lanka.

India 1st Innings - 1/150 (23 Overs)

Pathan - 52* (43)
Tendulkar - 68* (73)

Vaas - 1/33 (6)
Fernando - 0/27 (6)
Murali - 0/32 (6)

It's a great batting strip so Pathan has been given a go up the order. He is currently having a field day tonking part time hacks like Maharoof, Chandana and Dilshan. Tendulkar has seen off Vaas and is handling Murali and should be up for a big century.

India 1st Innings - 1/171 (25 Overs)

Pathan - 71* (52)
Tendulkar - 70* (76)

Tendulkar turning this into a snorefest :p

Cricinfo commentator getting a bit carried away.

25.2 Chandana to Tendulkar, SIX, this is now officially a murder field
- tossed up outside the off stump, Tendulkar dances down the
track, get to the pitch of the delivery and heaves it away miles
over the long-on fence

Why Australia does not play more allrounders:
Bowling O M R W
Vaas 6 0 33 1 (3nb, 1w)
Maharoof 3.1 0 37 0 (1w)
Fernando 7 0 31 0 (1w)
Muralitharan 7 0 36 0 (1w)
Dilshan 2 0 19 0
Chandana 2 0 24 0

They guys going for 10 an over are allrounders. The guys going for 5 an over are specialist bowlers.

6/350 Off there 50 overs.

Tendulkar - 93 (96)
Pathan - 84 (70)
Dravid - 85* (63)

Vaas - 1/67 (9)
Maharoof - 1/82 (10)
Fernando - 1/68 (10)
Murali - 0/49 (10)

Gunna be a monster score to try and knock off, bit supirsed to see Sri Lanka not bowl out Vaas, to many part timers bowling, showed in the end with them getting hit all around the park.

Indian spinners wrecking Sri Lanka, Harbhajan had three wickets and a dropped catch after three overs and Kartik has picked up the last two. It's spinning a far way now and that was one toss India benefitted from.
