Off the many..one of his biggest highlights
2019 Rd 4 vs power in adel
no dusty/cotch/riewoldt/rance/houli -
lead from the front and in a frantic final quarter, locked it down to build his own defence wall..we win by 7p.
Will always remember that game and his brilliant performance

I must be getting old. I remember when he was first drafted and I went to a meet and greet night. He was seated on the same table as me after being drafted on the Preseason Draft. He was such a leveled headed kid that grew into a leveled headed leader. He was always so understated and looked like a stiff breeze would blow him over. I think this is why he wasn't selected in the draft our chosen in the AA Squad more times.

He was always a quiet achiever whose impact on our results and the club, is only acutely felt now he is gone.

Is is a sad time for our great club.

Hats off to a great defender who was always willing to through his body at a contest, whether to make a spoil or a tackle. I wasn't a particularly big fan of his early on and thought he was a bit ordinary, but my view in the following years changed a lot. Grimes was the sort of player I really like: not flashy or laden with a highlight reel but always bringing a solid work ethic, grit, courage, and a bit of a knack for seeing what might be coming next.

Rest well in retirement.

Needs to announce his retirement and do a lap with Dusty on Saturday.
Was supposed to announce the day Dusty did but club deferred. It

Rance, Grimes and Astbury. Three talls that held our backline together. Grimes was that versatile defender that regularly beat Betts and Buddy. Always dependable and had that ability to read the ball so well he would outmark forwards time after time. There was one Prelim against Port Adelaide, where Port were coming hard and he simply marked everything in that 3rd or 4th quarter to setup the win. Dusty will always be remembered as that one player that made a difference winning those flags, but no way can we forget the contribution of Grimes - the lesser lights that simply did the job, and did it well enough during our dynasty.

Congrats on a wonderful career in defense for the mighty Tigers.
Carved up many a kpp forward.
Now onto wine making and a glass beside the fire and reminisce about the great days.
Another player we can thank for those 3 shiny cups.

2019 Dylan Grimes was unbeatable.

Truly underrated.
Farewell Grimesy
19 through to 21.
the intercept king.

2022 backline was revamped. Balta and Tarrant, Gibcus IN, Miller played a bit which made us tall down back. Rioli down back too for Baker or Houli.

Grimes lost the intercept job to Broad. Grimes had to play exclusively on smalls. He got shiity at times. And slow decline from 23.

I remember thinking that when Rance did his ACL we were headed back to being good ol Ninthmond again. Turns out Grimes had other ideas, proceeded to carry out whole backline on his shoulders and the rest is history. Loved watching him play - hard as a cats head too

Don’t forget Chaining up Cameron’s motorbike

I love to think of 2019 Dylan Grimes, when he saved our season after Rance's knee injury in R1. Grimes was a phenomenal defender and underrated during his peak. Wishing him all the best for the future.

Wow, what a player!! Gave absolutely everything and was exactly the type of defender and leader the club needed. It’s no coincidence we had such great success, ruthless and committed to every contest.
What sometimes gets lost is how talented he was ……… great in the air, great closing speed, great decision maker and above all else committed and loyal.
An outstanding career and will be sorely missed.
