He would have gone off and sulked in the pocket, right in line for all our F50 deliveries ironically.

Got the sooks up late vs Carlton on the weekend coz the GWS mids couldn't precisely drop passes over his opponents head while he sat in the goal square doing **** all.

Is Chris from Camberwell danster?
lol, my views on Van Rooyen are well documented. I think sometimes we forget that Goodwin played Fritsch in the backline for a full season. Regardless of injuries this has shown to be a horrendous move. I think delaying Van Rooyen for a year when he is clearly our best key forward is going to be pretty clear. But it's all in the past now.

When the **** did Goody play Fritta in the backline for a full season?

When the * did Goody play Fritta in the backline for a full season?

In fairness to Danster Goody started playing him un defence in 2019 until a switch midway through the year. Not a full season but they definitely committed to it for a while.

Didn't we also try Harmes at half back for a bit?
He was utterly useless. Slick at least had a few good games, us winning at the SCG vs the Swans seems to ring a bell where Slick played a very good game in defence.

To memory he played in the backline in the 2018 preliminary final, you know the game where we went goalless for the first half.

Na, he was dropped for Joel Smith that week. Crazy Goody.

Fritsch went absolutely missing that day. Probably cost us the game tbh.

Goody played Fritsch back because he could actually mark the footy and we needed interceptors.

Lever was out with a knee and May was still drinking schooners on the GC. We had dumb and dumber (Omac and Frost) as our KPDs in 2018.

It didn't really work out but I could understand the reasoning.

Yeah I agree. We were desperate for anyone who could win it in defence not just half a contest.

Fritsch was actually pretty good down back! A bit Brad Green-esque when he moved down there and made AA. Completely wasted though, given he doesn't have Green's extra step and is ostensibly the best medium forward in the league.

Reckon you're very confused here. Green was never an AA defender. He was a midfielder that did have a AA squad season as a forward though after starting as a forward aswell.

Green was never AA. Made the squad in 2010 playing as a forward.

I think it was mainly cause he was a good ball user and we have none back there apart from Hibbo.
Also Jayden Hunt was injured just before the finals so we were short of good ball users in the back half.

I've probably confused him with Davey tbh.
