AIS website has Cotchin's dob as 07/07/90, making him inelgible. This could be a mistake though. Who else would you have in your top 10 Blues2010
Hey, i know cotchin personally, he is elegible this year as a bottom year player and he will go top 10 for sure. He has always been a gun with a huge engine.

Given there's still a season to be played, where in the big picture at this stage would you rate McEvoy (VicC) and Bellchambers (Tas) as ruck options to follow up the the big Kreuzer?

Ben McEvoy is a better player than kruezer, Ben can play anywhere and dominate, imo i don't beleive Kruezer is as versitile

I havent read the whole thread so I am not sure if anyone has already mentioned it but who from Queensland do you think will get drafted. Personally I think Rhys Magin and Sam Reid are a good chance have played a fair bit of footy with them. Brendan Whitecross, Joey Daye are a chance and watch out for ruckman Jake Spencer and James Mulligan both about 205cm. Midfielders Ryan Holman and a couple of the Goldy boys will go alright aswell.

And we're supposed to believe you since your username is Big Echuca and McEvoy is from Dederang-Mt Beauty? ;)

Ben MCEVOY 11 July 89 198 88 Murray / Dederang-Mt Beauty

I think your bias is showing

Your right that Kreuzer is not as versatile ... he can only dominate the two most important spots on the ground - ruck and key forward.

I don't think Ben McEvoy's ability to get kicks playing a kick-behind is really a compensation. Interesting to see how he goes if they leave him up forward.

Ben McEvoy plays with murray bushrangers, and maybe if you've followed the tac cup and national u18 and u16 championships you'd probably find that ben has also played with vic country. the last time i checked, you don't need to live next door to someone to know how good of a footballer they are

Does anyone have anything on James Saker and Mat Hebbard playing for Bushies? any chances of gettin picked up without been allowed to play vic country?

maybe we could put a rough top 5 from each state in just to establish a group of names.

ill give wa a crack

WA TOP 5 (no order)

1.David Meyers-Perth-Utility/Defender
Won best player in the International series ahead of players like gibbs and has started very well in the colts system after being injured most of last year.About 190cm and a reasonably solid build.

2.Cale Morton-Claremont-Wing/Half Forward
Bottom age brother of mitch and jarryd still playing school football this year and has started his colts career off with two 30 possesion bog ground performances, has a very good football brain and is very classy as well disposal is mostly very good and is around 192cm but would still run a 15 beep test. Still very skinny though.

3.Chris Masten-East Fremantle-Midfielder
Smallish midfielder who gets alot of the ball and has great endurance played at the 18s carnival last year and got plenty of the ball and will be a strong chance of captaining the team this year my only query is his use of the ball and his size reminds me a bit of byron schammer a bit to much.

Luke Sampey-East Perth-CHF/CHB
Another member of the 18s last year was given limited time to show his potential though and had to play 2nd string to gumbelton and leunberger when down forward. Very Physical player who leads hard and straight has grown to about 193cm I think so will be an even bigger threat in the colts, after beiing a big reason why the royals won the premiership last year. Is a good kind of old fashioned kpp but still has the pace and endurance to make it at the top level.

Rhys Palmer-East Fremantle-Midfielder/HBF
State 18s rep 06 also had limited game time, ran an extrodinary 16.3 in the pre season highlighting his endurance has a nice left foot kick and knows how to find the ball, playing senior footy at the moment and holding his own. Gets a lot of his footy backwards of center which isnt a great thing, is a good midfielder but him going this high in wa rankings this year shows that its not going to be as strong as last year because i would rate gary moss ahead bit of this guy at the same age.

Vic Metro possible top 5, no order

Matt Kreuzer - 199cm, 91kg ruckman/forward. Plays tac for Northern Knights, all australian in under 15 and 16. Played vic metro 18s bottom aged last year, probably the second best ruckman at the carnival behind Leaunberger, probably the best ruckman in the tac cup last year. AIS/AFL academy graduate.

Jack Grimes - 187cm, 76kg midfeilder. Plays for Northern in the tac, played vic metro 18s bottom aged last year and won Northern b&f. Currently on an AIS scholarship.

Adam Maric - 179cm, 80kg midfielder/forward. Plays for Calder in the tac, kicked 6 goals as an u/16 playing in the tac cup grand final. All australian in under 15 and 16, plays school footy for pegs and is on an AIS scholarship

Trent Cotchin - 184cm, 81kg midfielder. Plays for Northern in the tac, was a regular in the tac cup team last year as an u/16. Vic Metro captain in u/16 and all australian as under 15 and 16. Plays school footy for pegs and is on an AIS scholarship

final spot is tough to call, a lot of good players coming from vic metro this year:

Rhyce Prismall - 189cm, 81kg midfielder/forward. Brother of Brent from Geelong, supposedly the better of the two brothers. Plays tac for Western, vic metro bottom aged last year.

Others to watch out for are Steve Gaertner - Stingrays, Matt Suckling - Dragons, and Jake Spiteri and Pat Veszpremi from Northern

nice read macca im a big fan of veszpremi he looks very classy, Maric is a dead set gun from what i have seen but is that a generous 179 there?

Unsure, that was the height listed on the tac website for the 07 lists. I guess Veszpremi was stiff not to be in the top 5, especcially after being AA last year as a bottom age. I just thought Prismall's size and name would put him ahead

At Peel Big wraps on Breen - hasn't done much yet for mine but does play a nice strong forward role with safe hands. New boy from Douth West - Chris Atthowe - looks very athletic and could be one to watch. Chris Waterman persevering with Ben Howlett in League side and talking him up. Howlett was seriously looked at in 2006 rookie draft and wuold be considered at that level again.

Get on Nic Cattapan from Calder i really like the look of him. Always works hard inside packs and high possession rate. Look for late picks or Rookie lists

whats this latest motlop like compared to his brothers? not that i think north would draft him - after daniel leaving - just interested...

i dont think he is a brother, i believe he is a cousin. Is very classy with great hands and evasive skills. Have seen him playing NTAFL on TV against men and more than holds his own, consistently kicks 3 - 4 goals.

jackson terntgrove 196cm bottom age player who played full back for calder cannons on the weekend had over 10 spoils anyone else think he played a great game and could be a big possiblity come next years draft?
