Won't win but probably won't go as bad as some would say.
A few bagged him on here in the caulfield cup form talk and he made them look like fools.
I put cash on him a couple of months back but not at all confident of getting a return!

Was poor in the 2006 version when going well.
This spring has been a disaster.
No Chance.

Good run in the Caulfield cup, but disappointing last weekend.
Can't imagine it being a serious contender, but you can never discount a horse that has won a Caulfield cup.

$80 is overs i reckon, should be about $25-30.

Can run third, but only because any old nag can run third in a Melb Cup.

Tawqeet Would be a huge upset as just has no form of late. Caulfield Cup was encouraging though but you would think it would need to show more being the top weight.

Just an update on the weather around Flemington. Was pouring yesterday especially in the morning. But overnight and today it has been warm and dry. Preparing for a BBQ outside on the balcony and it looks like the track will be dryer than expected. Unless it rains overnight and tommorow. Sunset at 8pm. Pardon the poor attempt at photostitching. There has not been much rain at all around here for the past few weeks and the drainage with new turf is supposedly excellent.

Blue Monday - ticking along without much fuss. Id be interested if he had some 3200 + form behind him, but that doesn't mean he wont run it out either. Danger for a place. Nash will give him every chance

Blue Monday ran well in the Caulfield cup, finishing fourth.
Can it win this? Probably not, but another top four finish is not out of its reach.

Hayes just doesnt seem too keen on the chances of any of his team, maybe a little when the rain came but from all reports the track won't be too wet in the end anyway. Thats enough for me to stay clear of his this year. He is normally a confident sort of trainer.

Come home quite well in the CC, but did have a lovely run & all went in its favour. CC will once again be the best form, so on the basis throw in the trifectas at the lesser end.
