Re: NFL Week 5

With the direct snap being used by Miami and now some others, I was wondering if it came off a direct snap
Ah ok, if you are following it on NFL Game Center, i think you will find that it would show that it was a direct snap, eg:

:)47) Direct snap to 23 - Brown, Ronnie. (Shotgun) 23-R.Brown right end for 5 yards, TOUCHDOWN.

Re: NFL Week 5

Watch the game and then comment on the ref calls.

This is a joke.
I am not claiming it isnt bad refereeing, but to claim it is a conspiracy against the Saints is rediculous, refs miss calls, it happens, they will never be 100%

Re: NFL Week 5

wtf? Yeah nice ESPN lets show the Denver "fumble" of week 2 AGAIN. It's only been replayed a few hundred times. Anyone who still hasn't seen it would be living under a rock.

How many other blown calls has happened this year? Where is their weekly replay?

Some teams seem to get the calls, some teams don't.

Take a look at how many penalties the Patriots have this year. I haven't seen the numbers but I can tell you they'd be one of lowest in the league. I bet too teams against them have been penalised heaps.

I don't think it's a conspiracy against teams, more so it's bias towards certain teams (for whatever reason). Don't tell me it's coaching either, a certain Pat's defender is considered by many coaches the dirtiest player in the league.

The officiating in this game has been so one sided it does make you wonder what their motivation is. I could understand home town bias but this is the complete opposite.

Re: NFL Week 5

Cheers big Will.

Re: NFL Week 5

I wonder if all these defenses offsides are a reaction to Payton calling out the refs for that missed call in Denver?

They are quick on the trigger with that call in this game. In fact I haven't seen this many called in an entire game this year let alone against one team in a half.

Its a question of when, not if, when it comes to penalties. The Vikings got crucified against the Titans last week....

Re: NFL Week 5

I don't belive it.

They actually saw a penalty against the Vikings.

Saints have made some awful mistakes in this game but I can bet you're going to hear a lot more about the officiating in this game. It's rare for ESPN to call refs out during a game but even they think it's been "curious".

Maybe they've taken the 3 points start on the Vikes just like I have.
Come on Vikes!!!!;)

Re: NFL Week 5

Dunbar been one of those players on and off the main list but I reckon he'll keep his spot for a while after that block. He's made some good special teams plays this year and Payton loves players that can perform on special teams (rather ironic given our kickers)

Hopefully the change of momentum we needed.

Re: NFL Week 5

I'd be more worried about the fumbles JD - that's 5 and counting....

Indeed. A couple can be excused but generally we've been poor with our hands.

Even the INT should have been caught. Worse than a drop he gifted it to Leber.

Re: NFL Week 5

The Vikings kick and punt coverage is woefull. Cost us the game against Green Bay and looks to have put us in another difficult position. A bit of O would be handy too....

Its done i reckon JD, Saints to run all over them here in the last quarter i reckon.

I need 4 points from Bush to get the win in BFFFL.
