Yep, will probably go for a combination of guns and cheapass forwards myself. A lot of the guns will be relatively cheap next year so it should be easier to fit quite a few in.

Sorry; I was under the impression that Roo, Pav, Brown, BJ, etc, scored significiantly less than last year.
Just looked at the stats and it seems only JB and BJ scored significantly below normal.

Good question. Will definitely receive the 42% reduction for missing 1 entire season, but the question remains will he then recieve an additional 42% reduction? No way to say for sure at this stage. I geuss we can only wait and see.
Skank, have you got any prices on players who have missed 2 seasons? Has there even ever been a player who has returned from 2 seasons off?
Myself and Skank have been madly searching C121 but only Cogs and Hentscell at this stage where the jury is still out. As you would have seen in the centres thread, Franco and Darcy went close but played 2 and 6 games respectively in the first year so it wasn't quite 2 full years.
If anyone finds someone I would be interested to know.
Cartman, we have floated something past the NP guys for them to review so we can get a consistent response to the questions popping up on all the pricing threads. At this stage I am not aware of anyone who has missed 2 complete seasons, but the hunt continues! Has to be someone who has played a bit, roookies don't help.

How do people see Travis Cloke going next year? I was reading a thread on the pies board about him which gives me the impression he might have his 'breakout year' in '09. He will be going into his 5th year which is about right for a breakout year for a forward. He has shown glimpses of being a force in the AFL. There were a couple of reasons for him not having such a great year in '08. The Collingwood forward line was very unsettled. When Rocca went down Cloke was forced to be the main forward and had to play far deeper. His is best suited (for DT as well) to play the 'Riewoldt' type role leading up onto the wings. Next year he should be supported by players such as Rocca, Dawes and Rusling (obviously not all of them and Rocca/Rusling is a big 'maybe'). His DT scores improved immediately when Dawes came into the side as well in the last bit of the H&A season. There was also talk of him having glandular fever which would explain his poor finals performances. The main concern with him was his kicking for goal which has improved greatly this year.
I'd never get a key forward outside of Pav/Voldt/Brown Dog/Buddy, all the rest are too inconsistent.
Couldn't care less about his consistancy if his average is good.
