rumour is that timboon has signed a very high profile playing coach for next year

i suppose its no good asking for any names because it'd be seen as "having a go at timboon"....which is weird because everytime they are mentioned the same people seem to get on the defensive when it comes to timboon..........ok i'll try---------any names thrown around?

No, THAT is being defensive. you complain more about being bagged, than the amount of times you actually get bagged.

only have to mention timboon and people get on their soap boxes in some form or another........anyone know whos got the job there?....and at merrivale , deakin, power and whoever else i missed? by the way youd reckon potential coaches would be knocking down timboons door to get the job......they have such a powerful list and every right to start favourites in 2009. They have every right to think they can go back to back and good luck to them!!! having some time off...see yas..all the best

I have messaged a few blokes down there, but noone seems to know anything yet. Either thay haven't signed anyone, or Mick hunt and co are doing a good job keeping it under their hat. The rumour mill in Timboon works to quickly for noone to have heard anything.
I have no idea about the rest of the teams though, I'll leave that to you guys in Warrnambool area to find out.

The talk I am hearing now is suggesting that Brad Couch and Brad Wiggins from Cobden will both be taking over coaching duties at Timboon. Duel playing coaches. Both local boys.
Also talk of Adam Roberts from Camperdown, (original Timboon) possibly signing up as well.

Well at least the rumour mill got that part right, cept for the coaching bit.

Might be time to stir old mate magpie mick up. That usually gets everyone talking again! ;)
Ben Kenna is a fair signing for the power. has been a handy but under rated player over the years for both Kolora & Terang.

Is Dylan Chaplin-Birch coaching East Warrnambool??

Both Couch and Roberts will play with their respective hampden clubs again next season from what ive heard. Chaplin burch had meetings with south and north apparently but unsure if he's signed, Collegians offering big money from what i hear...

Who are collegians throwing big money at? Any names?

Brad Scholl, from Port Fairy? Nice. The rumours of a big name were correct it seems.

Any other news on the coaching jobs still vacant? magpie mick should know he thinks he knows everything else!!

Regardless of why, Main has signed as russells creek coach and scholl has signed with Timboon

Love your work hacker- obviously right on the money and have an inside ear! What is your latest on East and Merrivale?? You would think things are going to get harder closer to Christmas to find a big name.

East have had talks with a couple of locals from what i hear but none seem very keen, joey may well go round again. Merrivale were chasing scholl pretty hard too and am unsure if they had a secondary in the pipeline which could draw out their process although i did hear that there was one or two players that may have put their hand up to have a go at the top job....

Geez, Attrill would be an interesting selection considering they have some senior players at the club with Hampden league experience. They must rate him very, very highly. He may need to curb some of his off field antics!
