If it's the post in the yaco Laycock thread then I don't fully understand what you were saying.
My problem is.

Player at Bendigo finding form. Player at Essendon fails hard. Bendigo player plays the next week. Bendigo player loses all form. Bendigo player plays VFL.

Rinse and Repeat.
What I'm saying is, we pull players out of Bendigo too early. They just start finding some form, then we chuck them into a struggling AFL side. They lose confidence and suddenly two weeks, their confidence/form has been wasted because we didn't give then an extra week or two to gain full form/confidence. So we get stuck in this cycle.

Ah ok yep I get you now. It's a fair point, but do we have a choice with Neagle/Laycock now?

Wow, it's 2006 all over again. But the worst thing is I'm a member so I'm at every game to endure it all.
Chin up. ;)

I've been a member for 10 years and the only win I saw in 2006 was round 1 against Sydney. Funnily enough, the only Melbourne games I missed after that were the wins over Brisbane and Collingwood.

This really hurts. No pun intended.

If this season does turn out to be a write-off, the least we can salvage from it is 22 games experience added to the likes of Pears, Hooker, Hurley, Gumbleton.

Erm..

I don't know anymore. The team really pumped it's types up this season, then stupidly drove out the wrong gate at Xavier College. Very disappointing if this turns into a 'development year'.

That's my point.

That's what we could take out of yet another year out in the wilderness. Pears missing 6-8 sours even the optimist in me.

I don't really want to talk about the overall side's "bigger picture" today.

I'm afraid anything I have to say will be downright depressing and something I'll come to regret later.
