Called in for a look and 2 bob was on the boundry line coaching, i think it was Kial ryan who done his AC joint in an earlier contest, Big Al is right though, pretty scrappy but both teams had a real crack, Thurgoona look fit but were missing half a dozen or so of there better players, I hear chiltern had 50 at raining the other night, surely they can pick a pretty handy side with them sort of numbers.

The O&M Jets get 50 at training too

Sounds like you are under rating the boys down the hume cat! From 15 at training last year to 50 this year is a huge step in the right direction.when you look at the players that have been cleared their thay will be right up there. I think thay play berrigan this week and dederang the week after. That will give us a better idea on how thay look.

Mmm touche

I might even go to training one day soon for the first time this year and see how the Rutherglen boys are shaping up

Haha you let your guard down Cat, go down and have a look and let us know how they are looking, there has not been a lot said about them on here, i assume they will improve on last year, would that be fair to say.

had a look at thurgoona howlong yesterday. the game was quick!! the ball was moved well by both sides. think thurgoona would have won first half howlong second half i would say though howlong by a couple of goals

Wasn't there but heard from supporter that both sides had a few out including top-liners and that Dogs were missing 10 at least of best 21.
I'd say both will be serious finals chances in their respective comps

Hume League thread suggests you guys were well beaten benchy, with the 2 key Howlong forwards kicking 16 between them.

one game and they have won it i dont think so! did mitta play there full squad?
I see Mitta beat them second time around. Talking to people from both sides neither had a full list in either game, not many sides do in practice matches. Mitta had 5 or 6 out, Beechworth 10-12. Lining up to be a very close year I would thing, you never know who the real contenders are until mid season.

a fair big of talk on the thurgoona jindera game on thursday on the hume thread whats going on here!!!! all reports seem say thurgoona won by about 3 goals!! was at the game a bit scrappy but thought thurgoona played very well but jindera first hit out and had eoungh players there so they could pretty much play there 2nds side in the second half. and few young blokes starred for thurgoona ben hunt and sam someone showed alot for two young kids. Bruce looked very strong up forward not to many blokes will beat him one on one. big thing on hume league thread that jindera didn't stick atound for a beer after the game how true is this??

Chiltern played Dederang on Sat and the talk is that Chiltern looked quite sharp. I think both sides had a number of players out. So we will all have to wait until round one to see how they all go. Looking forward to a very even season.

Chiltern did look quite good, few players too come in aswell, but for dederang looks like another long year where missing a 2 - 3 players (not awsome) might aswell play their thirds team

Some interesting comments on the Hume thread about the BB Saints players against Barny on Saturday, anyone got any comments on the game and the Barny players?

Yeah played in the game mate, Barny are a very well drilled side, very physical and due to it being a lot of the boys first practice game we were outplayed in the first half. I reckon they will ply finals. BB saints were missing 6 players and come first round will be a very different side. However saying that, it was only a praccy game, and good luck to all sides!

not sure what game you were at beechy boy but from where i sat chiltern started well but Dederang finished all over them and won the first 4 quarters while the senior players were on as well as the next 2 and had 6 good ones out with at least 12 new players they will take time to improve but that they will

Not sure if this will work, but here's a quick (??!) summary of the ins & outs for each club from clearances lodged to date:

Great work AP - did you do this while you were at work? have you got some sort of obsession disorder? Very informative & well done....................are you an accountant has your compulsive disorder been diagnosed?

No disorders in this house CWR. Sorry it took me so long to reply, I was putting the spices in my spice rack in alphabetical order. I'm definitely not an accountant, my job makes bean counting look positively exciting. Anyway, I'm off to wash my hands. Out, out damn spot ! Can post the playing records of the incoming recruits if you like, but I don't want to look too sad !
