dont get me wrong, hes good, but hes not up there on the hawkins tipett level, hes just a decent B grade forward in the making, nothing special or spectacular.

Why do you keep mentioning Tippett & hawkins in the same breath?

A better comparison would be Hawkins & Neagle.

Tippett is miles ahead of Hawkins at this stage.

The consensus was that they had to trade pick 3 and either Kennedy or pick 1, so it's a case of them rating Kruezer higher than Kennedy, which I agree with.

Kennedy will be better than Hawkins. Bookmark it. :)

wrong again, they wanted pick 1, but carlton refused to hand it, so they gave pick 3 and chucked in kennedy, and they just got ovr the line for a deal.

he wasnt even rated that highly in the draft he was in... realli his entire career hasnt been special at any point, the natural ability of the two isnt on level par

It's testimony to Geelong's unbelievable midfield and brilliant defence that two key forwards with such obvious deficiencies in their game in Hawkins and Mooney can be premieship players.
Let's face it. Hawkins needs to have a big season. Question marks won't get any smaller if he doesn't.

I know he's still in his early twenties but he REALLY needs a breakout year, IMO of course. 45+ goals will do. Just got to show people he's there otherwise it may turn out to be a case of too little, too late.

You can tear it up in Juniors all you like but he hasn't shown enough for a powerfully built young forward

the football club didnt rate him that highly at all.

there is not a snowballs chance in hell, that a side with only one key forward, which is looking at having a crack at a premiership in 3-4 years time, would trade away a 20 year old superstar Key forward.

From what I saw live of Kennedy, this being the round 14 game where we pulverised them for Jim, he looked bloody impressive. WIll be a B+ grade forward at worst buit will turn out to be a star. Not a superstar though IMO. You overrate Hawkins, JK has shown so much more!

Don't bother. Despite the fact that most neutral supporters agree with that, according to gc26 Kennedy just isn't that good.

Most sane people realise Kennedy is the real deal. Hawkins is yet to convince anyone, including a lot off Geelong supporters.

Maybe Geelong should study how all of Richmonds forwards go about playing to improve Tomahawks game. Wait a minute, Richmond doesnt have one decent forward because they are a skidmark on the AFL at this point in time.

For the record I wouldd rate Hawkins a fair bit below Tippett and about even with Kennedy maybe fractionally ahead but both have similar skill levels. That tosspot who said Neagles better than Hawkins would have to be kidding. What next- Jobe Watsons learnt to kick a football? Knights has learnt not to shaft club legends?

I wasn;'t the knob who started a thread saying 2010 - the year of Jack Riewoldt was I?
Of course you rate Hawkins equal with Kennedy. Most NEUTRAL observers don't.

Well, you can suck it up and lick the shit out of your pants as Hawkins tears all comers a new one next year and Geelong win another flag. Hawkins is one of the best young forward prospect in the AFL. Did you watch the finals? He kicked as many goals on grand final day as Riewoldt and Koz combined. You know a player is good when he performs on the big stage. A champion does this. A pretender fails.

Not very agile is he? Hawkins is a man mountain who can jump like a flea. You can keep your pack of terrible footballers and we`ll keep the big Hawk. First proper preseason this year so you`ll see him at more contests than ever before. Hawkins has still done more at this stage of is career than Franklin. 2010 will be his breakout year.

hahahahahahahaha

Good one BBC :D:thumbsu:

you honestly reckon, carlton just handed you a young star 20 year old KPF in a trade? it never happens voluntarily in the history of the game, and especially talking about carlton here, the jews of trade week, even if it was judd.

i even detect a little bit of a self concious feel about you on the matter, like you know that i am right, trying to convince urself and others different.

That is an utterly disgraceful effort.

Even though words are obviously not your strong suit, there's no mistaking your intent there.
