Maggie Herger, 16, couldn't have been prouder to don a Vancouver Canucks shirt to root for her beloved hockey team against the Sharks in San Jose. Four years earlier in her native Canada, after undergoing surgery to remove a brain tumor, a hospital visit from Canucks players raised her spirits and helped her recover.
At Wednesday's game, however, the high school junior suffered another frightening brain trauma. Maggie said she suffered a concussion after a drunken Sharks fan who had been harassing her smacked her in the head.
As paramedics loaded her into an ambulance at HP Pavilion, Maggie said, another Sharks fan noticed the girl's Canucks jersey and yelled at her to "suck it up."
"I just wanted to cry," Maggie said from her Discovery Bay home Thursday, hours after being released from the hospital. "Who does that?"

One of the worst hooking calls I've ever seen. And I'm not saying that because it was against us.
They need to turn the ****ing lights on brighter so refs can see what's happening out there.

Not that he's a complainer at all but there was no arguments from Captain Nik.
Ref in perfect position. He can see that easily despite the bad lighting.

Might have been an over reaction but it was a weak call none the less. IMO at least anyway. Don't think it was enough for a penalty shot tbh.

Well Redmond has the experience but Errey has youthful exuberance on his side.
It would be a tight tussle. Redmond was very snarky tonight. Lots of sarcastic comments. He spent most of the 3rd period acting like a dog had shit on his shoe.
He was one of my favourite analysts at HNiC. He's turned into a very grumpy old man.

Redmond can be a gun, and he can also be annoying. I don't think he's some massive 'homer' though, because if he feels a penalty against an opponent was rubbish, he will have a massive go at the ref.
