Re: Round 10 Captain Choice

Thinking Marc Murphy against the Dees. He's got a career high 37 possies against them and i don't have Selwood.

Also on SEN Robbo said he'd heard a whisper Judd may not play which would probably increase MM's score further.

Re: Round 10 Captain Choice

Rolling the dice and putting the big C on Ablett. His 152 against Adelaide carried me to victory. Got Selwood, but I figure it will be like a training drill against the coast, so everyone will only average 90-100. Ablett will be the best of the worst again and get a huge score... I hope.
All that aside happy to make a bloke who is averaging 118 my captain.

Re: Round 10 Captain Choice

I agree Bartel will rip GC a new one. Though I'm not picking Geelong players vs GC - if GC get dominated, too many players from Geelong will win too many pts, off each other, standardising the output. You are less likely to get 150 for your best player when half the team's on 100+pts sc by 3 qtr time.
Josh Kennedy only did it because he was the standout for 3 qtrs last week and the game was still in balance into 3 qtr time.

shuey also got 154:thumbsu: ive picked chappy this week he loves a goal and can see him kicking a lazy 4 or 5...

Re: Round 10 Captain Choice

I think I might do something wildly reckless and foolish this week and Captain up big Buddy.

I will romp in for the win in two of my three leagues, even if I don't pick a captain.

Buddy could go huge against the bedraggled Dogs, particularly in a warm, dry stadium.

Or, more likely, it'll blow up in my face.

Re: Round 10 Captain Choice

I'll probably go with Swan one last time. tbh, it really doesn't seem like the Eagles put a hard tag on the number 1 opposition mid. Boyd (110 is reasonable for a team pumped by 120 odd), Watson (148), Mitchell (127), Mundy (119), A.Swallow (136), Goodes (133) etc... we all know Swan's scoring potential.

Although, some of the Geelong players look pretty tasty against the GCS kids.

But will look at other options later in the week.

Based on that, and Swan's injury concerns, Pendlebury for me.

Will rip them up at the MCG, I would've thought.

Re: Round 10 Captain Choice

if you got pendles....its a lock (c) i reckon

Pendlbury: Good form, but i am worried won't get much delivery from the middle as cox will tear apart wood

Cox: He is playing collingwood

Selwood: Does better in tight games, might not score as good against gc

Re: Round 10 Captain Choice

08 QF just stands out in my mind every time I see the Dogs and Hawks and play.

Buddy Franklin.

EDIT: just looked and I have boyd in my team. So I'm goin with Matty Boyd hahaha

Re: Round 10 Captain Choice

Had the VC on Murphy and almost changed it to C just before lockout :( Hopefully Selwood can match his score.
