Because he's a new young kid doing well? Who the hell doesn't want a new kid to do well? I remember you were all for him when you were desperately trying to claim he was Italian.

Well i found out about him and have changed my mind.
lets be honest here if he wasnt Italian/Aussie you people would care less about him.

Re: 2011 Formula One World Championship - Round Eleven - Hungarian Grand Prix Budapest (29-31 July 2

And what, pray tell, have you found out about him? That he's making Liuzzi look like the useless waste of space he is in only his third race?

How he boganises his surname, among other things.
Well i hope Liuzzi beats him from here on in.

if he wasnt Italian/Aussie he would be called a "spud" like every other driver on here. besides your Mark of course.

I notice only one person is making an issue of Ricciardo's ethnicity....

I notice one person making an issue over anothers preferance about supporting him .

I take no notice of Frankster177 - he is a troll and has contributed nothing positive to the formula 1 discussion in recent times.

My recommendation to anyone who wants meaningfull discussion on this board is to let him make his posts and ignore him

That RB7 is a momentum car not a racing car..

Against the clock it is the fastest, but with another car in close proximity it is unable to maintain that momentum for various reasons.
Car in front hampers its turn in speed into corner, car directly behind (especialy the big hp cars) makes it change its approach to corners and thus slow its corner entry and exit where it is so phuqing fast.
The Mclaren has power and can get that power to the ground from various lines, which makes it much more raceable when jostling and why it is such a formidable package in tricky conditions...

The rb7 reminds me of the torana's and the bmw's at Mt Panorama against the big hp fords.

a fantastic result for Button in his 200th GP. Couldn't happen to a better person.
:thumbsu:

He won his first GP in Hungary.......typical charasmatic if not conehead English racing driver.

Re: 2011 Formula One World Championship - Round Eleven - Hungarian Grand Prix Budapest (29-31 July 2

the drivers eye position is so much lower and that chicane is slightly uphill.

The only other thing he could do was turn around the other way which meant leaving the bitumen and hitting the wet grass and that would of cooled his tyers and it'll of been a few laps before they got to temp.

he took the risk and all in all the drive threw pretty much made up the time he saved from turning around on the racing line obstructing diresta...

Hey don't get me wrong, as I said in my first post, Hamilton thoroughly deserved that penalty, most deserved of the year imo. I was just making the point that if he said he didn't see him, then even though the camera showed him the drivers eye line may not have been able to pick it up. No excuse though.

What a pompous twat. As if he decides when Webber retires. I'd bet he'll be racing well after 2012, probably with a team that values his experience and contribution.

I think 2012 will be his last year, except if he wins the WDC or comes very close (which unfortunately is unlikely)

I hope that Webber can go to the regulation changes in 2014 (so retire end of 2013 at the earliest). Then hope that Seb struggles massivly, gets whooped by everyone. Ricciardo beating Vettel would rub salt into the wounds aswell :). Not because i don't like Vettel, but to put Marko in his place.

2012 might his last year with RBR, but I don't believe it will be his last year in F1. He'll have a drive somewhere in 2013 if he wants it; Renault, Ferrari, Williams again, who knows. He'll have options though as he's well liked, respected and connected in the paddock.

Re: 2011 Formula One World Championship - Round Eleven - Hungarian Grand Prix Budapest (29-31 July 2

Why are you all for him?
The first obvious reason for me is because he is a young kid from Perth, and seeing as I have lived in WA for 16 years, I would love to see someone from here do well at Formula One. And yes, he was born and bred here.....

Second reason is because his old man's company happens to do alot of work for the company I work for.

Ricciardo is a 'Marko' driver as well. I imagine he'd love nothing more than two of 'his' drivers in fighting for the championship in the one team.

True, but I'd much rather Ricciardo win than Vettel.

It will be interesting to see what would happen in a situation like Turkey 2010 with Vettel & Ricciardo. Marko could have a brain explosion haha.
