What an absolutely epic final round. August rarely fails to deliver. Those 30 minutes on the train took forever, fortunately my bosses didn't care that I spent the first 25 minutes of the day watching the golf.

Watched the recent charity Tavistock Cup and Adam Scott talked about how confident he felt, thought it was a bit of a laugh, but boy did he hole some putts today.

Jason Day now has 2 top tens from 3 appearances in majors, fair start to the career.

That was unbelievable, all of it, just the way the leaderboard get going all day, was an exciting round. But to have the aussies not choke for once and still get beat, does hurt. To me that was Australia's chance for a few years (although Day is still going to have a lot of chances..) and to have it taken by an insane effort to birdie the last few holes, just feels like we'll never win one.

That's the brutal thing about this sport - you have to take your chances when they're there.

Geez that was impressive by Schwartzel. Some of those shots he hit down the stretch (particularly the approaches on 17 and 18) were just sublime.

On a related note, after 4 days of watching the Masters I've spent today getting my President's Cup tickets, buying Srixon Tour Yellow's from Golf World, took a trip to Drummond Golf, booked to play at Bonville Golf Resort and can't wait to watch House.....

Ogilvy tied for the lead in Texas, with Scott a shot back after 2 rounds.

Jason Day shot 6 under this morning, matching the best round of the day, and is only 2 of the lead going into the 3rd round.

Badds, O'Hern, Chalmers and Nate Green still in contention also.

Scott with a brilliant win this morning. Has improved out of sight with his short game and putting over the last 12 months.

Add the confidence that Williams will give him on the bag. Maybe Scott is ready to rock now and deliver on the hype.

Interesting to hear the commentators say this morning that Adam Scott had gone to a long putter. He promptly got rolled 1st round.

If he is already desperate enough to go to a long putter, I'd say the chances of him ever winning a major are now nil.

Been in tremendous form ever since this post. I'm taking all the credit.

Scott will be wishing Stevie hadn't opened his yap about that comment AG. The Yankee press will be all over it.

Yeah, Stevie still seems very bitter...

Just fantastic golf from Scott, great to watch, he really does have one of the most pure swings in the game, hard to back it up at the PGA but really now, he's won a PLAYERS, a TOUR Championship and now a WGC event, the major is the next step.

Day missed about 1000 putts out there as well... Looking forward to the PGA.
