I think the last time we played the Hawks twice was back in 2006 so we are due to play them twice.

Dont think we have played North Melbourne or the Bulldogs twice for awhile either,

I don't give a shit who we play, we can beat anyone.

Just less games at Jihad will be nice, GF is at MCG, that's where we play our best.

Saints window is well and truly shut. Cats surely will not be one of the top 2 teams, 5 years at the top, it has to end some time after 3 flags the hunger must be dying. Pies will have FIGJAM in charge which is a sure drop from Malthouse, they'll still be top 3 IMO though. WC will drop when Kerr, Cox, Embley and Glass' form inevitibly drops. Swans are not a worry at all and anyone who finished below them don't bother me either.

Hawks are the only problem, but pretty confident we can beat them at the MCG too.

I think your being just a tad too hopeful ;)

You can honestly say you wouldn't look at a premiership the same way because the AFL gave us an easy draw?
Yes, I can.

I would prefer to earn a premiership. When we win our premiership, and we will win one very soon, it will be because we deserved it.

There will be no doubt.

I fully expect our schedule to look like this

Hypothetically;

Round 1: Richmond
Round 2: @ GWS
Round 3: Hawthorn

Round 5: Melbourne
Round 6: Collingwood
Round 7: Essendon
Round 8: @ West Coast
Round 9: St. Kilda

I will be happy with any fixture as long as we play GWS or GCS twice.

We played GWS once last year whilst the Hawks played them twice easy game for 8 definite points.

I would also like to play the Hawks twice at the MCG! We need to break the hoodoo because I am certain it will be a Carlton v Hawks GF.

Go Blues!

I think the Hawks played 5 games against the bottom 3 sides in 2011 where as we played only 3. There in lies the difference between top 4 and 5th to 8th.

The AFL are contractually bound to have at least a dozen high drawing blockbusters at etihad every year until at least 2014. Unfortunately for us this means our home games against Hawthorn and Geelong are likely to remain at Etihad, although the St Kilda game that was at the G this year could be moved back to Etihad.

We'll get Essendon/Collingwood/Richmond at the MCG as home matches, probably Geelong as well.

Yes, I can.

There will be no doubt.

Any premiership is an earnt premiership. You don't win 3/4 games in September without being very close to the best team in the competition.

Though any premierships won by GC or GWS in their formative years could be viewed as tainted.

I'll have a stab because, simply, i have nothing better to do:
Round 1: v Richmond*
Round 2: v St.Kilda
Round 3: v Essendon*
Round 4: v Collingwood*
Round 5: v Adelaide (A)
Round 6: v GWS*
Round 7: v Melbourne
Round 8: v West Coast (A)
Round 9: v Brisbane
Round 10: v Port Adelaide
Round 11: v Collingwood
Round 12: v Sydney*
Round 13:v Essendon
Round 14:v Bulldogs
Round 15: v Richmond
Round 16: v GCS
Round 17: v GWS (A)
Round 18: V Hawthorn
Round 19: v Kangaroos
Round 20: v Sydney (A)
Round 21: v Geelong
Round 22: v Fremantle

*Teams we play twice.
Not factoring in bye.

Richmond Round 1 of course. ..

The almost guarantees are:

Carlton will play Collingwood and Essendon 2wks in a row, likely with the ANZAC day match the week before (if not after)

Saints on the Monday of course

At the end of the season we'll play Richmond, Essendon, Collingwood and possibly Geelong in a 3/4 wk period

Guestimates. ..

Back to Brissy on the Thursday before Easter

For some reason I think we'll get Hawks in round 23, hopefully at the MCG this time

Sydney in quick succession mid season

1 game v Melbourne, North, Bulldogs and Port (in Adelaide)

Both trips to perth, game v GCS at Metrikon and GWS in Melbourne

Collingwood, Geelong, West Coast and Hawthorn. There you go 8 wins. :p

Point is, in a fair and equitable draw, surely each team would play the other in sequence, kinda like a home and away system over time.

We played Sydney twice within 2 months this year.

Yet we play Geelong and Hawthorn once a year, and have done for the last 5.
