win this, stay in the wild card hunt. I know SD make error after error and are chokers and so forth.

But looking at the other teams competing for the wild card spots this year (Pittsburgh, Miami, Indy) San diego can still get there, if they get their shit together.

Given the chargers dont have the hardest run home (Tampa, carolina, jets, bengals, oakland)

Chargers talent is massively overrated.

Didn't even dominate this game like they should have, or like the score would suggest.

Naturally people are going to blame this performance on Cassel. He gets zero support from his OL or skill position players.
Yeah that wasn't the greatest throw but you still have to catch that. The fumble in the endzone was partially on the OL letting a free man run at Cassel but he still should have held onto the ball and limited it to a safety.

Shite game in general though. Bit surprised at no Stanzi.

they have the talent to get a wild card spot.

There is nothing spectacular about the other wild card hopeful teams.

Pittsburgh still in the running to take the division, so in that case Balty would get a WC spot over them. If they don't take the division, Burgh definitely have one sewn up IMO.

Fins are better than the Chargers as well.

THat being said, they don't stand a chance come playoff time, so maybe it'll be funny if they do make it. Watch Rivers cry a bit longer :p

What exactly has GM Pioli given the Chiefs? 4 years of not much. Bowe and Charles probably still their best on offense and they were not even Pioli signings. Charles looked on the outer in Pioli's 1st season.
Is the OL that much better? Been crap for years.

Defense, Berry was ok but best players were pre Pioli.
what a crap job.

I'd be happy for Pioli to send Berry and Hali to the Patriots in the off-season. ;)

The Chiefs are a real disappointment. The team has solid talent at every level and continue to perform with great dysfunction.

McCluster's drop on that interception would have been heartbreaking for Cassel. Probably not 100% perfectly thrown, but certainly thrown well enough to be a fairly comfortable catch, and McCluster coughs it up with barely any pressure on him from the San Diego secondary.

don't think Hali was a Pioli pick. I think "solid talent" is being kind.
