Caboolture have breathed some life into this competition and I suspect so have Logan by the look of the results.

This game was effectively over by quarter time and Redcliffe looked like they had not recovered from their thrashing last week. Caboolture play a good brand of football and I thought they ran and carried really well. If I have one criticsm I think that they have too few avenues to goal - but may need only the big nude nut and one other. They dominated the centre clearances and redcliffe were never in the contest at any time. The better players from last week struggled I thought #'s 18, 21, 9 and 22 could not get near it. I suspect due to the home work done by the Caboolture coach who I rate. On the other hand the usual suspects from Caboolture were really good. #7 I think is real quality and was well supported by 23, 5 and 8. The nude nut was good with our being dominant.

It will be a ripping contest next week.

Is there any word on how Logan got over Coomera so easily or does the score not reflect the contest?

I hope that Logan get a real game next week and are not playing in the next division up if you get what I mean. If they miss out on 2nd or 3rd ( I think Nambour will grab top spot) because of these two matches it will be a real injustice and something the league needs to look at. It would be good to see them smash Div 2 UQ though.......

Logan were very good yesterday. Good midfield spread and finished it off well. We weren't at our best but I don't want to take anything away from the way they played.

I agree that this competition has had some life breathed into it. I predict many more upsets and confusing results to come. That's why we love football!!

Yes, Caboolture definitely did play a good brand of footy. The final three quarters were relatively even although Caboolture had already won it, and they didn't have to do too much to maintain the lead. #5 and #11 were their best I thought, and #25 was a solid defender all day. #5 had a beautiful kick and really made it difficult for redcliffe to make consistent forward entries. I'm not sure about your analysis of the redcliffe players, because I thought 9 and 21 were their best through the midfield, and 18 definitely knew how to lead for a footy. All in all though, it was a disappointing display from Redcliffe and it will interesting to see next week's results. I think we all know who the top 5 teams will be, but the order of the 5 is what has me stumped.

Sorry I should have said compared to the way I saw them play the week before against Nambour.

Sorry no one supported your bar, this may have been because we had no hot water for a shower and only 1 shower that worked so boys went back to our club to shower.

This is not having a dig at you but it was a big reason many blokes took off straight away.

It hasn't been an issue with any other clubs. Certainly didn't affect anyone from our club and we have the same issue (something I hope we fix in the future). Don't worry, we'll have a beer with you guys after we face you later in the year.

Hahaha the old cold shower trick! Back in the day in Vic some of our opposition used to hose out the changerooms on cold days then switch off the hot water... Gotta love local Footy!

I dont want to sound like the buffs but we were missing a few key players to say the least. Not sure any club in this div would have the depth to cover what we had out but you got to do the best you can with the side you have on the day. Unfortunately our side was not as good as theirs.

The late withdrawal of that handsome devil no.18 would crush any team :)

Neutral,
Pretty fair assessment on the game. The Lions got a jump on us in the 1st quarter and we never really recovered. Number 22 was always going to struggle for possessions and have a quiet day as he didn't play on Saturday. Always good to read your comments - pretty fair on what you see. Unlike the blokes on here from Beenleigh. Lack of football knowledge and depth of horse manure is astounding...

Well done to Morrow. Tipping against us every week you were bound to get one right sooner or later.

If you honestly believe this game means anything to anyone not involved - do not become a politician as you are so far removed from what counts to others it is laughable. Two teams that have 3 wins between them does not count.

Can anyone confirm that Calamvale reserves have forfeited this weekend?

I wasn't suggesting it is who you have out Morro - it is who Moorooka have in. If my informant is correct I would be paying close attention to the team sheet,

Snaker - I got a call from the village.....they want their idiot back,

Good luck to all and if you are close get to Caboolture/Redcliffe for game of the round.

P.S - Crows to smash Pies.

Dont worry about this league neutral.... it's pretty boring at the moment with only 2 sides in the hunt. Why dont you focus on the pies. I seem to remember you saying crows will smash the pies? Ha haha you crows supporters always get too excited playing good football in May. Pies are in great shape at the moment and will get even better come September, when it counts.

If a player 'observed' didn't play then was he 'obseved' at all

Indeed it did Obama but from all reports he made for an excellent bouncer!

Oh so when you are missing a few it's ok but when we explain our outs and shortage of numbers to cover them, it's just excuses.

You don't want to sound like the buffs but then you rattle off the same explanation.

You sir are a hypocrite.

I don't recall doing tips before, I would have thought I would have picked you guys most weeks except against anyone in the top 5.

I hope you will be ok, you poor little poppet. That nasty morro doesn't pick you enough.

Fair point.... As the loss of 3-6 KEY players structure wise can turn a side in ANY comp, it will always sound like excuses but to say we're not sounding like 'A' & then almost quoting their reasons is hypocritical..

Everyone at the Roosters were disappointed with the result of both games today. Nothing wrong with the culture of the club going forward in the years ahead though. Probably the most disappointing part of the day though was that not one Beenleigh player entered the bar after the senior game.

Good thing we had 50+ loyal club members/players there afterwards.

So not only a distinct lack of football knowledge but short term memory also. ... I am great mate, after the head butt on Sat i thought I was playing you lot again. But I am honoured you replied to my post - I mean you and your ego. Just honoured. Must be a lonely world outside of the 5, 3 teams look certain to play finals, 2 more pretty well guaranteed and then there is Beenleigh fighting for 6th with Ipswich... Not so good when you are not playing ressies. A bit tough for you this year sunshine.

Does this post actually make sense to you ?

And you should be honoured, gumbys like you don't even deserve to breathe the same air as me.

Actually enjoying seniors for the record now that my coaching duties are over. Long time before finals sweet pea.

We will see.

so your coaches, managers, supporters all left their club ASAP because they all needed to have a shower, mate get a job with Gillard.

Hahahaha the last few comments have been a good read. Morro, Geelong9999 may be pushing your buttons a bit but doesn't saying that someone doesn't deserve to breathe the same air as you come off as being a touch arrogant? You seem like a nice bloke but some of your comments just throw me a bit. I'm a guy that likes facts, and here are a few:

>Not being able to hang around due to no hot water is a pathetic excuse
>No team will have their full-strength side on the paddock at any one time
>There is a significant class gap between the current top 5 and the bottom 5. How you can see the buffs overtaking coomera or logan is beyond me. Some form of luck would have to allow this to happen.
>Beenleigh is the best of the worst this season. If you finish 5th somehow, then all the power to you.

It was supposed to sound arrogant mate. :D

I can't speak for the whole team or club I just provided some feed back. You want people to support a club the least you can do is provide adequate facilities. That's my opinion anyway. 1 cold shower for 22 players, you do the math.

If I told you the bad luck we have had so far with our best players you probably wouldn't believe me, we almost can't believe it. Hence my confidence we will make finals as I believe it will turn around very soon. i certainly won't post them here as that would just be making excuses apparently

Last time we were travelling this bad in 2009 we won a flag. Not saying we can do that this year just that things can change very quickly.

One of the few blokes to use his real name and you hang him for giving an opinion.

just tell the truth morro - you'd beaten a bunch of spuds by 80 points and the tigers had the hawks on toast and you wanted to watch the last 10 minutes :D

As much as it is appreciated the other team sticks around and supports your club your committee shouldn't include "other teams spending" as part of there forecasted p & l.

The guy sees his team as playing below potential and thinks they will turn it around - arent these the sort of blokes you want at your club?

I still think it will be a Nambour Cab gf but logan, beeneligh, coomera and redcliffe will play some hard footy to determine it!

Mate I was getting unwanted updates at every quarter and even from supporters during general play, problem was, when they said the Tigs were dominating I thought they were taking the piss :D

Only one thing to say from watching Logan vs coomera ........ Logan will play in the grand final they made coomera look silly and should've won by a lot more , inaccurate kicking saved coomera some grace . Even with Milligan pretty well contained they dominated clearances .and from my count flower kicked 3.7 terrible from set shots unlike last time I watched . Number 9 and 29 were easily Logan's best and coomera had a handy mobile
Ruck-man and that's about it in my opinion they didn't have the ball in there ands at all . I can't believe how wrong I was about Redcliffe . I know where I'm heading this week without a doubt this week could change my opinion as I haven't seen caboolture yet but at this stage I would say only nambour will beat Logan .
