I'm all for some Fleury bashing when it's deserved, but the equaliser wasn't on him, and the third was just a good shot. It happens. More annoyed at the rest of the team for not being able to close out a game against these ****s.

Neal's was ****ing stupid. As much as Marchand deserves a good knee in the head, it was bush league and done by a guy who would never back it up. Thornton's was disgusting, and should get nothing less than 20 games. It's great for the league that he's a garbage player; the league has never had any problem suspending goons.

So I just chucked Reimer's stats through an algorithm that basically tests what his stats would be like if he had the same Toronto => LA transition that Scriv did.

Meaningless extrapolation time.

Reimer:
2012-13: 19-8-5 // 2.46 GAA // .924 Sv%
2013-14 (TOR): 7-4-1 // 2.63 GAA // .932 Sv%
2013-14* (LA): ?-?-? // 1.23 GAA // .967 Sv%

If this shows anything, it's that Reimer could be a whole lot scarier with a better defensive unit in front of him.

I said on another forum that Neal should get 5 and Thornton 20. I stand by that. As much as I hate that little puke Marchand, it was totally ridiculous of Neal to do that. But Thornton is just on another level. You've just seen your team mate get kneed in the head and you don't go after the guy who did that. Oh no, you go after a guy who laid a clean hit 15 minutes ago that wouldn't fight you because, well, he didn't have anything to answer for and you shove him to the ice and then almost break his neck punching his head into the ice. Just animalistic behaviour by Thornton and he should be suspended for a looooonnnnng time.
