The rankings are flawed before the season has even started. Isn't the whole idea of power rankings to rank teams based on form over a season? Carrying over last year's rankings is the dumbest thing I've ever seen from Roby and that's saying something.

As long as the Hawks remain top for the entire 2013 season regardless of their results, I'm happy.

Actually the rankings are designed to show who would win in the finals. That's why Sydney is... second.

If you have any questions I'll try and answer as best I can.

are you really the head of the kwik-e-mart?

How can you know if an umpiring decision was going to result in a goal and therefore be accurately weighted?
Incorrect umpiring decisions are weighted based on position on ground, score differential, time in game, successive free-kicks and whether it should have been awarded to the opposition instead.

im looking forward to the bombers being 8-1 and still 11th in the power rankings, only to fall in a heap and finish 11th.
I'm looking forward to you telling us all year how you rate carlton second only for them to miss out on the finals again.

Happy to see Carlton in the top 5 again - it will make it all the sweeter when they miss the finals.

Kangaroos made the finals last year with a young and improving list; St Kilda almost the complete opposite. Not sure how rankings based on premiership potential can have Saints 5 spots ahead of the Kangaroos.

That's actually one of the few things Roby has got right. I'd expect us to finish higher on the ladder than North this year, we're capable of improving too with our young players.

You'll be top of the roby rankings by years end however as Roby has you 22-0 as the umpires cost you in all your losses ;)
