Tristan Foenander (draft guy on Crocmedia) has us taking Zak Jones at 12. Don't mind him, but that's a big reach, surely.
This is the first I've heard of a "Zak Jones" whats he like?
I don't mind Jones but come on sliders.
Melbourne has already got word that we're into Jones

FYI - most clubs have lodged their delistings...just waiting on ours
Aaraon Cornelius is a bit of a surprise delisting for mine...guess someone had to make way for Lukey McGun
Does any know who they have us taking at 12 in the Inside Footy phantom that came out today?
Apparently they have Salem at 6 and McCarthy at 7.
Comes out tomorrow
Scharenberg won't be there and Crouch should be a last resort. Way too many good players in the top 12 to go picking him. If Templeton is there at 50 I will eat poo. Glorious, glorious poo. I doubt he'd be there though, wouldn't you rather a fwd/mid with some pace? Seems to be the thing we lack. A Karpany or Wilson at this pick would be delicious. Pick 68 I'm unsure if we'll use but if we do Joel Tippett I wouldn't be against at all, I think St.Kilda should be all over him though.Current draft wish list:
Pick 12
1. Christian Salem - everything about this kid screams out a FJ/Dimma first round pick. Hard at it, uses it well, takes the game on and defensively good. Someone very special would have to be there at 12 for us to overlook him IMO.
2. Matt Scharenberg - if this kid slides then I would be happy to see us take him as he would fit in nicely across either HB or HF to start with, with the aim to have him become a full time midfielder. Having another 190cm/90kg kid joining the midfield would be very nice.
3. Matt Crouch - if Salem and Scharenberg are gone then for me I'd like us to take Crouch. IMO Crouch is the type of player that we're missing now that Tuck has moved on. By that I mean the bloke who thrives on the contest and loves cracking in and winning first possession. Knightmare describes him as playing like Sam Mitchell, but without the foot skills. I know we have a requirement that players are good kicks, but when you have a kid who is a clearance machine I believe you can overlook that.
Pick 50
1. Eli Templeton - on the D&T board Templeton is talked about as being a possible second round pick. The AFL site has him as a likely 3rd round pick. If he is there when pick 50 rolls around then we should pounce. Kid has great endurance and uses the ball well, get him to put on a little bit more weight and we could get a real steal who would add some depth to our midfield.
2. Nick Holman - another hard at it inside midfielder who by all reports loves the contest. Adding a kid like Holman, along with the likes of Arnot & Helbig, could give us those grunt types who allow Cotchin to spend a bit more time outside of the contest, and that would make us even more dangerous.
3. Chris Cain - mature aged midfielder from Port Melbourne who would be ready to go from round 1. Averaged 26 disposals and 1 goal a game this year in the VFL. Would give us midfield depth.
Pick 68
1. Joel Tippett - doubt he would be liked by many here given he has already been on a list earlier, but for me I'd like to give the mature aged ready to go KPD another crack at it. At the recent SA state screening he had the highest vertical, second best agility course time and finished 3rd in the 20m sprint and repeat sprints, not bad for a 196cm/93kg KPD. Given our KPD stocks consist of Chaplin Rance and an injury plagued Grimes if Tippett is available at 68 we should pounce quick smart.
2. Kane Lambert - another mature aged midfielder from the Northern Blues in the VFL. Finished runner up in the Liston Trophy averaging 25 disposals and a goal a game over 18 games. Combines inside ball winning with outside run and has also shown he can play as a lockdown midfielder.
3. Meyrick Buchanan - over aged kid who was a potential top 30 picks 2 years ago before deciding to pursue a cricket career. Returning back to the TAC Cup this year he only played 5 games but in that time averaged 20 disposals and a goal a game. As a late round pick he is worth a shot IMO.
