Can anyone suggest a rookie who is a better STARTING option in defense to replace Thornton? I have Vlastuin starting with Terlich and Colquhoun as emergencies.

Probably because he played for the Power in the seniors a couple years ago in his rookie year and scored relatively well. Personally i've got Stevenson ahead of him.

Hartlett should not be in the mids (far better options available)
Gawn is on a long term injury list i read somewhere
Whittfield = too expensive for a rookie
Bock won't play rd 1
Newman is intersting (can he regain form now he is not the captain?)
Cooney - can you please find me a good knee

Really good looking team, strong around, Im not the biggest fan of Cooney and not so sure if that will pay off in the long run but, other than that not a bad team.

I can afford Yarran but I don't want any more Carlton players...I plan to trade for Menzel later on which will make it three. Are you sure about Leuenberger considering his past issues with injury? I have tossed and turned over using him? I would end up with enough cash to upgrade Ryder to Buddy.

never sure but if looney burger plays nab well he is a far better option than jenkins, dont worry about players per team - just choose the best points scoring players

I want Ablett, but I just can't bring myself to do it, at least not from the start of the year. Firstly, he's 29 now, and secondly, Most players in his team are into their 3rd season and should develop significantly more than last year. I just can't help but feel that other players will get more involved and reduce his point scoring. I may be wrong, as he is undoubtedly a freak, but I'm steering clear of him for now. (Only because of his price)

He was the top scorer back with Geelong too back in the day with Bartel and Selwood so I don't think GC players will hurt him too much.

I do feel my defense is pretty weak and weighing up the option of downgrading lecrae to J.Kenneddy to have more cash to improve my defense.

Have to agree it is really a must have he will push you off to a great start, Locked in for captain every game. Ive gone both Cox and Buddy, just fell buddy is a nice add and worth his money. Also have Pendles as my #2 Midfielder in for a better season than Swan.

Thoughts on my team changed it up a bit. But please scroll up and have a look at my original team and tell me which one you prefer.

Scotland Suspended for first two rounds. Cox would be my pick out of the two. more consistent, Breust only because Varcoe coming of an injury but the extra cash is worth it too have Cox. I like Ryder but Bellchambers did well enough last season to take the number 1 ruck position. Ryder proven to be a well scoring SC player. Id have to say team 1.
