Nice. Very nice. Like the risks taken here. Few Brisbane players, but that's expected ;)

DEF- Goddard, Gibbs, Hartlett, Hanley, Vlaustin, Goodes SUB: Pittard, Terlich
MID- GAJ, Pendles, Cotchin, Murphy, Crouch, O'meara, Wines, B.Hill SUB: Viney, Colquhan

RUCK- Cox, Jacobs - Currie, Daw

FWDs- Walker, Rockliff, Lewis, LeCras, Kennedy, Macaffer SUB: Rowe, T.Lee

Forwards and Rucks the real nightmare. Forced to go with 2 midpricers in Kennedy and LeCras because I have no faith in the rookies this year.

Nervous about Hartlett was thinking of going Heppel as a safer option but I think H.H has a much higher ceiling. Hopefully he stays fit.

Not many uniques in the team so I am thinking of throwing in Griffin of Fremantle as a POD and maybe Breust/Matt Wright in place of LeCras.

Basically everyone else is a lock except for the Rookies which i obviously will chop and change before round 1.

100k in the bank.

Feedback
- Backline a lock with good premo/rookie mix
- Brad Hill personal fav who I couldn't quite fit in
- Good overall balance
- POD's are vital but shouldn't really be a priority early on rather let your trades do the work.
IMHO more important to get the key premos/ rookies in place first

Why do you have two mid pricers in your forwards bench? Total waste of cash to be sitting on your bench. Trade two of your mid pricer forwards for rookies and spend your money on your rucks and/or midfield. I'd also probably downgrade Golby to a rookie to upgrade elsewhere.

Like your POD selections, ie. Fyfe not convinced with Golby, Moloney and Karnezis but have potential

Possibly consider D/G Karnezis and Byrnes to Maccaffer and Lee and U/G Leuenberger to Bellchambers

Karnezis and brynes seem like very likely options to have break out seasons...I guess I wanted security with injuries. Both cost a little over 200k and are more lcloser to low range players then middle? Yeah Golby is a interesting one, I guess emotional reasons are keeping him in and that he is VC now...did well for me last year before injury too

Agree here. Looneyburger is a star. if he plays from round 2 onwards, he's a 110 average. Bellchambers not so
bell chambers is a upgrade on leuenberger? dont know much about lee
You might have better info than me but word the other day was Leuey still 3-4 weeks away from even running unimpeded. Rucks with dodgy achilles = no go zone for me until he proves his worth

But Fletcher was confident the setback is only minor.
"He's had a pretty good run over the pre-season, just had a minor hiccup and we think we'll get him going again Thursday.
"It's not serious at all. We've just got to make sure when it's in that area of the body, you've got to make sure you don't have a hiccup."

oh boy you may be right :)

Yes, but it is alot of money to have sitting on the bench. I think you should really decide which mid-pricers you think will be the best and get rid of atleast one for Macaffer. Your rucks need upgrading as Leuenberger looks unlikely to play round 1 and Jenkins won't be a great scorer either.

Forgot Berger was injured again...

out Golby, berger
in: Goldstein, Vlaustin

Speaking of Varcoe how well is he traveling? He was one I considered but I felt that maybe 3 mid pricers coming back from injury could be risky. Then again there is a drought for forward rookies.
He has been in fine form over the NAB period is over his foot injury and is playing a new role off of the HBF, so his scores should be higher than they have in the past as he will be in the play a fair bit more than he has been in the past playing out of the FP

what was mcCaffers past supercoach sores like? I did have him but questioned his scoring...might trade out brynes for him

Macaffer was good. very good.

If Looney misses round 1, then that's my loophole complete. He will get me back for round 2 :)
