What are your thoughts on my team?

After watching Vlaustuin the other night, I think he would be handy to have in my mid-field with his DPP. Just who he makes way for is obviously another matter.

159k left.

Not sure on Higgins, why not spend the extra money on a premium forward. Worth considering downgrading Hartlett or Broughton for Van Unen or some other mature age defender. With the extra cash you could swap Mitchel for Mundy.

Any way thats my thoughts.

for about same price as Higgins I'd look at Lewis Jetta from the Swans looks like playing in the midfield this year

For those hating on the Higgins pick, he is my only real risk/reward pick of the year. Last year it was Stanton and well, that paid off for the first half of the season at least. But after seeing him at training last week, I just can't not have him in my team. Dare I say it, he looked a class above and I have never seen him in this form.

He'll never be a decent SC scorer. Plenty of times he kicked 3 or 4 goals and still couldn't crack the tonne, despite how good his season was.

What's wrong with Goldstein? Well underpriced for what he can produce when given the number one ruck mantle which is now his. Monfries is also a candidate for a big increase in scoring production, should play more through the midfield in his new side than throughout previous years. Could quite comfortably add 20 ppg to his average.

There were several games last year when Goldstein's scores were low when McIntosh was playing as well. When McIntosh was out injured Goldstein actually scored very well.

Now that McIntosh is at the cats selecting Goldstein may be a good investment.

I can't bring myself to pick Dustin, still healing my grade three burns from him last year.

On the topic of Higgins, IF he does break out (massive if) he could easily average 105. I won't be picking him just because I've been burnt by him before, but if you have the balls, it could pay off big time.

Extra mid spots, may as well abuse it.

Probably won't end up havin the balls to run with it.

It looks too heavy down back. I think you want to be spending more money in the midfield where the big points will come. sloane/carazzo/fyfe looks a bit weak to me. Also the injured players bock, embley, lecras, macaffer is a bit too much risk for little reward.

Yarran! I look fwd to seeing where u finish up this year! Stepping outside the box is how you win SC and I do think the fact you have thought about him means you should start the season with a few real unique picks! Yaz will avg 100+ this year. 1 Intra Club was all it took to help me confirm his role under MICK will have him be one of carltons most important. He will get plenty of ball, plenty of run and add a goal per game to that!

Actually looking at ur team u have a few random players, I am sure u have reasons for those, GL! But GO YZ!
