My first crack at this for a few years... Just knocked this squad up now...any advice appreciated

Backs...
Goddard, Gibbs, P HAnley, B Ellis, Newman, Heppel......Vlastuin, Pittard

Mids...
Deledio, Fyfe, Ball, Moloney, Zorko, Wines, O'Meara, Viney.... Dwyer, D Robinson

Rucks...
Goldstein, Bellchambers... Rowe, Currie

Fwds...
Pavlich, Walker, Rockcliff, Martin, Varco, Karnezis... Macaffer, T Lee

Worried about my mids, and too many Brions. 38K balance

Too much money into your back, definitely downgrade some of them and upgrade your midfield.

Mine:

Like most people I'm struggling in the forward. I do feel LeCras will do good though.

Personally, I'd put Currie than Daw. Same price I think, anyway with your cash left over you could do it.
Tom Lee s doing my head in, hugely mixed reports weather or not he'll get a regular gig.

Can I ask why you have Heath instead of say, Pittard in your backs?

Good luck (ps May take a while for Mummy to get back to decent scores mate, brace for a price drop)

Just trawling through some info and threads on here and elsewhere, Heath seems like he is going to play, and play in the 18.

Pittard is not a lock(?), so trying to lock in rookies rather than the boom rookie, plays two and doesn't play for 12 weeks..

Lee seems like he is going to play and is speculative because of lack of forward rookies.

I'm liking this team a lot! (probably because it's similar to mine). It may be my west coast bias talking but I feel LeCras can shoot up to about 500k with him having more time in the midfield. Not sure about Goldstein though, but that's one the risks you're gonna have to take with leuey out and no other cheaper options in sight.

The forward line/ruck problem is doing my head in as well, I feel as if i've just gone full circle from when I started building my team. I wanted either Beams or Jack as my POD so I was playing around with Kennedy/Pendlebury but might switch it around again. I could use some help with this forward line problem.

Moloney and Ball were just an example to illustrate my point. Could use Bennell and Stevens as well.

At the end of the day, $675 for Pendles will still be $675 at round 10. Spending the same amount on two cheaper players who will outscore Pendles collectively will give you more points, and more cash. Come finals time, if you have an extra $2 million to spend than opponents, you're more likely to succeed.

Everyone has their own opinion, and not everyone will agree - that's the beauty of Supercoach. I've gone with Shuey, Bennell, Fyfe and Moloney (2 mill roughly) instead of Swan, Pendles and Beames (2 mill roughly). I calculate that Swan, Pendles and Beams will score, collectively on average, around 380 points per week, which means Sheuy, Bennell, Fyfe and Moloney only need to score 95 points each, on average, for a break-even. If they score more than that, which I think they will, I'm ahead - albeit with an extra position used up.
You are disregarding the other player your opponent will have. Pendles + a mid rookie say O'meara will outscore Bennell + Stevens. Although the Pendles pathway will be more expensive you will also get more consistent scores. However, we can't say anything for sure unless we compare 2 teams against each other. It really depends how you select your team.
Personally, I'd prefer to pay a premium for a player who you know will get you consistent 110+ scores rather than 100k+ cheaper player who is more speculative. It may mean you'll be down 1 or 2 premiums initially, but those consistent scores will probably help you win more games and put you slightly ahead on the total points scored.
I know that I'll be sticking to the ultra prems + rookies pathway! All the best with yours :)

Just wondering if anyone here is worried about having the very popular Ablett, Pendles, Murphy combo, seeing as they share the Round 13 bye.

Backs: Goddard, Gibbs, Heppel, Broughton, Newman.....Goodes,Docherty, Telrich
Mids. Pendels, Watson, Cotchin, Murphy....Moloney....Wines, Crouch,Viney,Morabito,Omeara
Rucks: Maric, Goldstein...Daw Currie
For: Rockliff,Cloke....Kennedy, Varcoe, Byrnes....Macaffer. Danhier,Lee

280k spare. Rookies are just there till first round selection approvals.

Obv my forwards are were all the risk is and ill prob use the cash there but I also think its were the best mid pricers are this season. huge risk but potential huge reward

Here's my team, due to lack of a lot of good rookies in backline and forward line I've gone with a lot of my money into the backline, forward and rucks. Used to go complete Guns n rooks last few years but this year with so many trades I feel like mid pricers could be more of a go. Any thoughts/comments/tips would be appreciatedView attachment 13384

Interesting team, just so that you know Stevenson and Terlich are 2 good rookie backmen you should probably downgrade Adcock/Hartlett for one of them and upgrade elsewhere.

Rate my team plz. Really unsure bout my forwards. Any criticism overall will be appreciated

Solid team mate. Forwards are a big issue so I've loaded up there with premiums. There are more potential cashcow rookies in mid/def so I would switch Heppel for a rook and upgrade LeCras or Byrnes to a premium.
