Amazing that whoever wins on Wednesday will be 6th

Unless it's a draw

The league has to stop rewarding mediocrity with a top six, it needs to change revert back to a top four or five.

Look at the team that sits sixth only one win in eight matches. There is no urgency from the clubs below because of that and you get boring conservative football like the match between Newcastle v CCM knowing that a point is enough to still be in the hunt. It's ridiculous doesn't look good on the league.

How bad are Wanderers travelling!?

8 games without a single win.
I didn't watch the game but saw a photo on twitter with no crowd as well.... will be interesting to see if this support they have the media harps on about so much sticks strong if they are bottom for a bit

To be fair the conditions were pretty bad, still think they got over 10k.
Yeah the moment I posted I realized I should have mentioned the weather having a lot to do with it, that said I'm still interested to see if they get the same levels of support when not winning

They've been pretty packed beside that game. Ground was under water 2 hours before the game. :p

so who u wanna win tonite?

if syd win they overtake us (for a few days) and foxsports will be compiling tributes to them.

if perf win they go further ahead, momentarily.

a draw would be nice?

Perfect segue for an up-to-date ladder >

Perth 19
Melbourne Victory 18
Adelaide 17
Sydney 16
Wellington 12
Brisbane 7

Central Coast 6
Melbourne City 6
Newcastle 4
Western Sydney 3

Having a top 6 in a 10 team competition is a joke. Rewarding mediocrity is an excellent summation.

With Muscat and the club's concerns about the playing surface having been made so public, there will be hell to pay if a player receives an injury tonight attributable to the playing surface.

We usually struggle on the road and if we really are an improved team, a win is a must.
