Much better forward line. Give me a spell. There's a reason we have 3 of our forwards in the AA squad and you only have 1.

Correct. For some reason having two player$ purcha$ed for big coin makes your forward line superior. While mosquito fleets don't win GFs on their own, they are necessary for a functioning forward line. And Gunston is miles better than Tippett anyway.

Hmm...it was clarified in a few posts after the one you quoted that the assertion being made was that Sydney's forward line this year is better than Sydney's forward line 2012 (and not that Sydney's 2014 forward line is better than the Hawks' 2014 forward line). You must not have got to those in the rush to post.

Hawks forward line this year has been clearly the best in the comp and is the biggest headache for the swans. I don't think anyone is seriously questioning that. They have shown that they do not need many opportunties to be devastating.

Disagree. The Swans have improved ten fold since 2012, Hawks not so much. This won't be the thriller many are hoping for.
So the Hawks have not improved since 2012?

Not catch the 2013 season dude?

FFS they could very very easily be back2back Premiers come Saturday night.

Even with the massive competition around here I think what you say about the Hawks is about the dumbest thing I have ever read on here.

Hawthorn finished 2 per cent off the top spot with significant injuries throughout the season and will have a full strength line up on Saturday. Can't see the Hawks losing tbh. Just because they have Franklin it doesn't mean shit! Hawthorn out perform the .sydney midfield time and time again!! Keep beating them yet people keep talking it up like it's the best of all time! Sydney players hopefully disrespect and disregard the Hawks Mids just like the oppo supporters cuz if that happens God help the Swans back six!! Even in the 2012 GF, the Hawks Mids kept getting the ball from Clearences and stoppages. Like that day, the Swans will have to tackle for their life or GTFO!

Jordan Lewis
Shaun Burgoyne
Sam Mitchell
Isaac Smith
Brad Hill
Liam Shiels
Will Langford
Luke Hodge

I don't read a weaker Midfield there at all..add Breust, Puopolo, Roughead and that's pretty bloody deep.

I am going to go out on a limb and say what is written on Bigfooty is going to have zero influence on the result of the big game.

Would swap those two.

If you were to rate them individually then maybe, but Sydney's key defenders work better as a unit overall as evidenced by the Swans being ranked number one in defense this year. I would say that our small-medium defenders are better though; Hodge/Birchall/Stratton > McVeigh, Malceski, Rampe.

Wow...

Could be skewed by having an easier draw and thus not facing the same quality attacks that the Hawthorn defense faced? I think Smith and Rampe are quality. Smith being better than Duryea probably swings it in Sydney's favour IMO.

Obviously you didn't read TyHawks assessment above, his words were "can't see the Hawks losing tbh". But yeah it's only Sydney fans who are over confident, hawks fans are all rationale and modest.

GF week hubris can come back to hurt
