Why pay $610 ($400 Concession) to sit in a Black Diamond seat, when you can pay $395 ($295 Concession) and sit that little bit higher in the stand under Platinum.

Why not? Nice view, will have pretty hardcore fans around you (willing to spend that much) not that there aren't hardcore elsewhere of course. Should be pretty full even when we are losing, full access to the facilities etc.

But I do get your point Pete, if it's just for the football watching there is little difference.

I've been told those wanting Reserve seat in the Western Stand can do so by paying around $150 more on top of their Essential Power membership.

Is this fact or just a rumour?

Anyone else just get the seat offer email?

Mine doesn't seem to mention the fact that I registered interest for BD. Currently fighting it out with Ticketmaster's server.

Hold on to your undies Doctor Feel you are going to shit bricks.

I got an email from the club at 4.35pm to tell me I was in bay 335 seat 35.

RussellEbertHandball said the chances of this happening are 46,739,284,645,372,835 to 1

It's completely spookism

Just got my offer and it is section 336 row B but when I go to the virtual tour and type in 336 it only has row A and C options o_O

Yeah the software gives you the view from blocks of seats, not specific seats and rows.

No you can't complain, I haven't been offered BD despite registering interest very early on. And then they send me the bloody email just as Member Services closes

"A" shows A and B, "C" shows C through G.

No row A shows the middle seat of row A and the same with Row C. I got Row D in Bay 335 so i have a marginally different view from the row C option.

How did they determine who got their seat guarantee today?

Anyone know as a current Club 1870 members, if we chose to continue sitting in the Western Stand next season at AAMI (Essential Power bridging option) are we guaranteed in 2015 as Club 1870 members a seat in the Black Diamond category?

Software would have staggered 30,000+ offers via email and snail mail over this week

To get into black diamond seats you had to register. If you were a club 1870 member you automatically got your equivalent seat, but if you wanted to go into level 2 you had to let the club know as the default position is an equivalent seat to what you have at the moment. But club 1870 members are allowed to sit there because of amount they pay.

You aren't guaranteed anything in 2015, but the $$ amount pay for Club 1870 membership allows you to move to level 2, provided there are seats available and you like what you get.

So as a 2013 Club 1870 member it would be silly not to take up the Black Diamond offer for 2014. Only problem is the remaining 9 of our group aren't eligible or won't pay that amount and will more than likely remain Essential Power members.

Got my seat offer today.

Anyone know if you needed to do the group seating if there's only two of you that have always sat together?

If I can't upgrade from Platinum to BD I'm going to protest by downgrading to Essential Power. ;)

I don't think the seat offer allows you to upgrade yet - it's just a case of whatever you had at AAMI, they are offering you the chance at the same seat. So if you want Black Diamond, you need to wait until September/October to upgrade.

At least, that's how I read it.

Yeah, going by the mail that went out early in the year this is a preliminary seat offer based on the equivalent seating to your current seating. There will be a window of opportunity to change seats/upgrade if you're not happy with the location.

Got told this by the lady on the Power Membership line at the PAFC.

It could be fact... then again, i've heard a lot of fiction in the past few years through the PAFC phone lines.
