Getting them in early (prior to this year's AGM), I guess, as opposed to late (relative to last year's).
This year sees an extension of voting rights to ordinary members like myself, so they could be being snuck in late past the more discerning voters, or giving them a chance to prove themselves before a greater audience has a say this year.
I think maybe, any more than one such appointment should be met with an EGM. It costs money, but are these board appointments necessary? Surely their services can be called on as consultants without a vote.
