These are going by the top selections as of the end of the trade period. Just a rough stab, don't take it too seriously.

Had an edit made the day before the window shut but so many trades happened on the last day, so had to change bits.

1. Jacob Weitering (Carlton) - Key defender required to fill the void of Lachie Henderson. Can lead the defence for the next 15 years. Most important area of selection for Carlton
2. Josh Schache (Brisbane Lions) - Key forward required to fill the void left by Jonathan Brown, a year late. That forward line is atrocious at Brisbane, Schache could really bump up its future. Could be the next Brown, Lynch or Bradshaw.
3. Aaron Francis (Melbourne) - Tall forward and defender. Melbourne have a great batch of young talented midfielders. KPP are what the club needs. Hogan and Francis together would be dynamic. Dawes just isn't AFL quality anymore
4. Darcy Parish (Essendon) - Essendon have a quality midfield, but it's not very youthful. Very fast player who takes the ball forward and kicks goals. Could be compared to Scott Pendlebury imo. Another talented Geelong Falcons product.
5. Sam Weideman (Essendon) - Grandson of Murray, I would have loved him at Collingwood but that won't be happening. Essendon have had troubles with scoring for years now, but he could be a quick solution. Great pack mark and accurate kick
6. Harley Balic (Gold Coast) - After the departure of Harley Bennell, the Suns will pounce of a midfielder like Balic for sure, coincidentally with the same first name. Classy tall midfielder who pushes forward and kicks goals, also needed in the absence of Charlie Dixon.
7. Darcy Tucker (Melbourne) - Generally a half back flanker, also has VFL experience. Melbourne don't have a lot of youth pushing through the defence, so they'll need to make a move.
8. Rhys Mathieson (Carlton) - Don't expect them to pull Aish in PSD, and after trading Menzel, I expect them to pull a midfielder to partner up with Cripps and replace Simpson in the long run. Not too fancy of a footballer, but goes in hard for the ball and isn't afraid of contact (unlike other Carlton players)
9. Charlie Curnow (Adelaide) - Younger brother of Ed, so could be picked up by Carlton early. He's generally a tall forward but also hits the midfield.
10. Jacob Hopper (GWS Giants) - An academy player, the Giants will be desperate to replace treloar asap. He is a very contested player and can guarantee he will be a Giant in 2016.
11. Harry McKay (Carlton) - Expect Carlton to pull a tall forward to put Liam Jones out of his misery and focus on the future. He's 200cm and a great mark. He's got a Carlton name as well for some reason.
12. Jade Gresham (Richmond) - Pacey goal-kicking midfielder from Northern Knights.
13. Ryan Burton (Adelaide) - Maybe just because I like the sound of another Burton at Adelaide. A South Australian forward who will add a bit of touch to that already solid forward line.
14. Ben McKay (St Kilda) - Great mark. Twin brother of other prospect Harry. 200cm forward who could become a big name in the future.
15. Kieran Collins (Hawthorn) - Played against potential number one pick, Josh Schache and shut him down easily. Is solid and reads the play well. Is AFL ready. Brian Lake's direct replacement.
16. Callum Ah Chee (Gold Coast) - Has class stamped all over him. He is lightning fast, agile and has the ability to influence games. Can play in the midfield as well. Generally a half-forward flanker.
17. Sam Skinner (North Melbourne) - Need a bit of youth in that defence. He's a whopping 197cm, which could be damaging as a key defender.
18. Wayne Milera (Hawthorn) - Has silky skills and is a genuine speedy wingman. Has played SANFL. Has pace, agility and can read the play. Quality winger.
19. Nick O'Kearney (Carlton) - Midfielder from Calder Cannons.
20. Josh Dunkley (Western Bulldogs) - Father/son option for Sydney. I expect he'll reject the offer however for the chance to remain in Victoria. Victorian clubs smash the draft picks in this area, where he'll likely be taken.
21. Riley Bonner (Western Bulldogs) - Defender from Central District.
22. Mitchell Hibberd (Fremantle) - Defender from Clarence.
23. Will Snelling (West Coast) - Midfielder from West Adelaide
24. Clayton Oliver (Essendon) - Midfielder from Murray Bushrangers
25. Mitchell Hibberd (Essendon) - Forward from Bendigo Pioneers.
26. Luke Partington (North Melbourne) - Midfielder from Norwood.
27. Dylan Smith (Collingwood) - Key forward from Swan Districts.
28. Bailey Rice (North Melbourne) - Midfielder from North Melbourne.
29. Tim Sullivan (Gold Coast) - 200cm ruckman from Glenelg.
30. Tom Wilson (Western Bulldogs) - Midfielder from Sandringham Dragons.
31. Greg Clark (West Coast) - Obviously need replacements for Selwood and Rosa. Midfielder from Subiaco
32. Stephen Tahana (Port Adelaide) - Half-back flanker from North Adelaide.
33. Callum Mills (Sydney Swans) - FINALLY! One of the best talents in the draft. Guaranteed pickup by Sydney as he's an academy player. Highly rated youngster. Get excited Sydney fans!
34. Matthew Kennedy (GWS Giants) - Another very high rated academy player that will certainly be taken. Midfielder from Collingullie. Very good player. Will get games almost immediately.
35. Ryan Clarke (Fremantle) - Midfielder from Eastern Ranges.
36. Liam Jeffs (Sydney Swans) - Midfielder from Eastern Ranges.
37. Matthew Flynn (Sydney Swans) - GWS academy player that I can't see be selected. 201cm ruckman.
38. Ben Keays (Brisbane Lions) - Won't do a runner like Aish. Incredible academy player taht will be superb in the future.
39. Ryan Hipwood (Brisbane Lions) - Focusing of the future. Could be the next Brown, Bradshaw or Lynch. Talented power forward who will form well with Schache.
40. Wylie Buzza (Brisbane Lions) - Another tall forward who will be taken as an academy player at Brisbane. 198cm fyi.
41. Mabior Chol (Brisbane Lions) - Sudanese academy player. 198cm forward. Brisbane stocking up in big forwards.

43. Jock Cornell (GWS Giants) - Academy player. Forward.

I really can't do any more. That;s just a rough prediction. I haven't really seen many of these guys at all. Just taking expert opinions and reviews.

Dunkley is WAY to high, even the most optimistic bloke would have him at the absolute earliest at the Hawthorn selections, honestly can easily see him going 2nd or late 2nd round.

Curnow could easily go top 4-5 or go late 1st, probably not much in between.

My Carlton hope (limited draft knowledge)
1-Weitering (relatively obvious)
8-Weideman (hoping he falls to us)
11-Gresham
19-Hibberd (young rebounding defender, Tuohy and Docherty to play further up the ground)

Gresham and Weideman forwards. Plus Lamb.
Weitering and Hibberd backs. Plus Plowman.

My logic is hoping that Kreuzer, Thomas and Gibbs remain fit this year, Cripps and Murphy star, and Curnow, Graham, Docherty, Kerridge, Sumner provide some support (the last 4 young). Not saying thst midfield is great, but it's clearly not as weak as the backline or forward line. Our best forwards goalkicking wise for 2015 were Everitt with 31 (actually an underrated jack of all trades), Casboult with 24, and then Henderson, Bell, Menzel with 17, 16 and 13. So we have 4 guys who kicked double figures goals in 2015 on our list..,Everitt, Casboult, Armfield, Walker. Yep, we need forwards.

Down back our best player is Kade Simpson who is getting on. Zac Tuohy is pretty good too. Otherwise, we have a perpetually sore Jamison, some bsttlers in Rowe and White, and kids in Jaksch and Buckley. We need defenders.

So chances of us getting thr 4 listed above/are they best forwards or defenders available?
 
Im hopeing for

Pick 4 - Miliera (Also quite like Francis aswell)
Pick 5 - Weiderman
Pick 24/25 - Any 2 of O'Kearny, Clarke, Gresham, Lovell, M.Hibberd, Ahchee, Burton ect

I think the dons will go for Weiderman qith one of those picks as we now need another genuine key forward to tandem with Daniher and he's the perfect size

Eric Hipwood & Ben Keays top 20 talent

need to add these guys in before guestimating IMO.

Will be taken top 20 for sure doesn't kick enough goals - always looks nice with twists, turns, abit of pace here and there but not damaging enough

Their respective clubs don't have picks in those areas. Their clubs have been sorted pretty much. Mills will only end up at Sydney, who don't have a first round pick.

Clubs lose nothing if they bid for them and lose out.

We will if someone bids for him in the first round. We match that bid and he is deemed to be taken wherever he is bid at. The rest of our picks then get downgraded to the back end of the draft to adjust for the points we need to "buy" the relevant pick on draft night.

Really hoping Francis gets through to us, the kid really wants to play for us. Weiderman at 5 would be a good get for us
 
I reckon the Saints will use all their picks on the best available mids at the time, we desperately need to get some quality ball users in and it'd be real handy if they had bit of pace as well.

The entire order will change once the bidding system kicks in.

So take the Hawks picks 15 & 18 for example....They'll likely end up at picks 20 & 24

Same goes in reverse....Pick 48 could end up as low as 40, given all the points needed by GWS, Brizzy & Sydney will mean they lose all their 2nd & 3rd round selections....Hence all the pick juggling.
 
imo Weideman and Curnow will be gone by pick 7, one will partner Hogan and the other Daniher. Same with Parish and Francis.
