Any clancee update?

I went to training on Monday and a few other times previously. I noticed that he looked trimmer than last year.
His kicking is as good as ever, with good low accurate passes. His characteristic head down ball drop is still there, but I think he might be getting quicker putting the ball on his foot.
When the training groups were split into two groups, which JMT and I figured to be the candidates for the first 22 and the young and not in it, Clancee spent only half the time with the first team. Matty de Boer was called to replace him. (Somebody can confirm this? It was two days ago and a lot has happened for me since) So I think he is borderline best 22 at this stage.
Of the young ones, I really liked the look of Blakely as an extractor, but he seemed to hold the ball too long when in control of the ball, before kicking it.
Weller looked good, but I don't remember any particular outstanding thing he did. Maybe he just looks good?

I reckon hes going to be a steal. What number were you predicting him to go in the draft?
Amazed he wasnt top 15 tbh.

He's so composed and looks a NATURAL footballer compared to a kid who's a natural athlete but just a good footballer.

IMO the natural footballer wins every day

Couldn't agree more. Thats the first thing that strikes you watching his highlight reel. He just looks like someone that understands the game intuitively.

Also stoked to hear Ibbotson is training well. He's had such interrupted years lately but is one of the crucial differences that makes us just that little bit better when the whips are really cracking. So under-rated as a key to our defence. If we can get him and MJ on the park at the same time as well as McPharlin and Dawson we become very very hard to score against.

Mr Clarke has had his last two preseasons effected by injury, it has been a while since he has been referred to as TTHD this late in the preseason. I think he looks fantastic to be honest and as Ive said, if they play him in a lead-up role I think he can be very effective as a forward.
Sorry buddy but I don't think he's got it in him. If he proves me wrong this year i'll eat my numbered hat.

Please comment here tomorrow, so we can see your next picture.

And here i was thinking it was my mind and intellect that kept me coming back

Training updates on my buddy Tendai please?

I live in Bali, but I am pretty sure his training report will be something like this;

Mzu is looking super-fit and covering the park well. Getting to a lot of contests and looking like having a great year.

Seriously, how good has he been? Very professional and a role model for fitness and preparation.

You pretty much nailed it.

I don't like cliché's but at the end of the day, when all I said and done and the dust settles posters like Salim will be there when the whips are cracking, so it's time to take the bull by the horns and make hay while the sun shines so get off your high horse and get down to training.

Well said. A week is a long time in football so lets take it one day at a time.

There's a bloke on this forum that would double-like these quotes if he could. Surprised he hasn't liked it yet... must be busy in RL.
