I think there were concerns over zillmere not having the off field facility's in order. Played a big part in moving game. Don't feel it was the complaints that was the major part. It would have been a bit rough if you didn't have a change room and a bar. Will see how they go and if they loose and the gf isn't at zillmere then we will know for sure.

I was told that regardless of the result, the Grand Final will be played at Zillmere next week.

We obviously intend on winning this week so it doesn't matter, but just fyi that is what i was told directly.

I'd be very upset as either a spectator or player if Zillmere don't have an operational bar fir a grand final. ..

No need to apologize mate. Your right on all counts. I'm as surprised as you and that's out of left field. All we can do is give you the home rooms and see if we can line up some chicken mate.

News just in, 20 Woodies are suffering from suspected food poisoning from Friday nights chicken. Haha nah well done mate, the boys loved it!

Woodsmen forward line was too tall, and both Moore and Forbes simply don't work hard enough and really only provide stationary targets.

That's a bit rough mate. We picked from 22 available and can't get shorter to suit the weather! Big Forba was lured out of his sick bed to play and provided a contest.

I won't say much about Big G other than as a stationary target, hes a good one!

Noodles didn't show up until 1/4 time either. I mean literally. ..

Old Georgie certainly played the best game I've seen from a bloke with a broken ankle...! :)

I remember when Noosa played Western Magpies in the 2006 PHC Grand Final at Cararra.

now THAT was quality administration!

That was quite close to the stupidest piece of fixturing I have ever come across - esp when you consider the same 2 teams played off in the 2's GF the day before at Zillmere! And the seniors GF was played at 1130am as the curtain raiser to the State league GF - it was just a totally bizarre weekend.. that was more upsetting bc Noosa lost both grades... :(

Check mate AFLQ, haha.
Option A: play at your opponents home ground.
complain
Option B: play in the dark at a ground near to your opponents home ground (former home ground for some of them!)
You've just been out manouvered Thommo!

Have to agree with Tigerhawk we were dirty as last year to have to travel all the way out to Collingwood Park for a Friday night Final. Just getting through that traffic at that time of day was a nightmare. Totally stupid.

But picking up option B of QAFL fans post have a look at this for another example of great scheduling: QAFA (A) Elimination final
4th place Cararra (40pts) playing 5th place Victoria Point (32pts) at Wynnum Vikings!!
Advantage Carrara there!!!
Good luck on Friday night Thommo. Keep fighting the good fight mate!!

So it's going to Mayne's junior field....
Wow what a total random pot shot at Mayne...Sorry for it not being a billiard table and having lights like the Gabba...I can send you the clubs bank details keen to throw us a spare 100K at least to fix it up???

Not random. I can't see how a field with gravel patches and half shaded by trees can be approved for senior games. And since comment was made of "no grass and desk lamps" that's the first field I thought of that matched the description.
As a parent I wouldn't even let my kid play on that field

Stick to your calculated pot shots and self imposed byes for the kids when you play Everton Juniors, we will get on with playing footy...

Serious question for the Tigerhawk:-

What, if anything is happening to the old Mayne ground and clubhouse at Albion? Are you guys any chance of getting back to those facilities? Who looks after it now?

So it's going to Mayne's junior field....
Kedron's seniors field is significantly worse than the back oval at Mayne

Both in grass cover and quality of lighting. I am absolutely astonished that Kedron genuinely passed a light audit. It's so bad out there it makes me think AFLQ should independently control light audits so there are no silly buggers going on.

It's far darker than other grounds I'm aware of that have failed audits. Much darker than UQ for example.

Nothing going on mate. It passed by the skin of our teeth.
We took a chance and had an audit because if there was any chance of hosting a final we wanted it. We had four lights fixed the week before. The others are waiting on parts.
Who wouldn't roll the dice.
Grass cover not brilliant but not dreadful
I don't know why the game was moved to kedron.
I truly am surprised as everybody else that the game is at kedron.
I don't know who had a role in this decision.
Your guess is as good as mine.
Anyway done now and the GF is at zillmere no matter who wins.
Back to what matters who wins this week.

It is leased from the Council by St Margarets school there was an opportunity to apply for the new lease a few years ago but it was cost prohibitive given we would have had to bring the playing facilities up to standard again...

I would suggest it will come from the following names:

Burton
Mihaloplous
Fitzgibbon
Morrison
Curtis
Guise

If I was a betting man, I'd probably lean to Fitzgibbon - but there was a surprise last year, and there could be again.

I'd say Watson too, but he just never gets any votes despite consistently being in the best handful in the comp every year.
