Someone from Nambour needs to have a word with the bloke who goal umpired the twos on Saturday. After one of our guys made an admittedly late and clumsy attempt to spoil, he started calling him a "dog c***" and said it was no wonder we had trouble attracting people to our club with players like him around (the irony being, the player in question is actually a new recruit).

When another of our players suggested he should maybe concentrate on umpiring, he responded, "I can still goal umpire while knocking c***s out!"

More than a little hypocritical to question another club's culture when you're a match official threatening violence against that same club's players.
Thanks for your feedback Danny, I am receptive to all types of feedback including positive and negative. I must say that I think your hearing is pretty good as you have gotten most of what I said right except I don't use the word dog. When using this great word I always preceded it with "weak" when letting someone know I think they are the lowest form of human. I agree with you I should not have carried on like I did but "one punch can kill" is very topical at the moment. I don't see why I would stand up for someone off the ground if this happened and then stand by and let it go on the ground. One punch can also kill on the ground as well...we all need to stamp this out. If he was a new recruit at our club then this would not be tolerated. Again, I agree with you and I should not have responded this way and apologise for my out burst, this is a very sensitive topic around our club due to recent events and I hope you can understand my emotions are always high when I see this happen. P.s I am a club supporter who has no official capacity other than to assist where required. I stand on my own feet and am responsible for my own actions.

It will be a really good game Tiger for sure - in fact from Colts thru to seniors this weekend - a good day of footy.
Grand final replay in the ressies so should be a beauty. Seniors, well this could be the game where Mayne's winning streak ends hopefully not, tough game to pick both teams will share a hard drink together after the game!

Blockbuster this weekend at Everton Mayne v Maroochydore, we should get Faulkner back this week.
Blockbuster - More like Ballbuster as far as Maroochydore are concerned. The expectation is a Mayne victory by 60 points +.
Hardly a blockbuster.

Obviously Mayne have more respect for Maroochy than you, no disrespect to any other clubs cuase they are doing the best they can with what they have. But you have 2 of the best 3 teams in this comp playing against each other. So QFA North's Blockbuster....

Talk it up all you like, MB came within 1 point of the Roo's, what are you gonna call the Mayne MB clash - Blockbuster?
I have a son playing for the Roo's - not sure if this quashes the respect call?
Just not seeing the game through the Mayne rose coloured glasses!

There are no blockbusters in this league. Maybe Noosa v Mayne. The competition is too lopsided. It really is unfair to a lot of the teams. Full credit to Mayne for winning these two flags but they shouldn't be in this competition.. It's a bit of a joke.

Totally agree the comp is too lopsided. Nambour, Aspley, Moreton Bay should be in the Central competition and stronger teams from the Central should play in this competition. It's the way Melbourne even out their leagues and unless something is done the top 4 will continue dominating for the next few years.

There is no Central comp in the QFA only North and South. There is the QAFA(A) comp made up of Brisbane clubs, then there is the QAFA(B) comp with North, Central and South. Aspley and Moreton Bay belong where they are and are very competitive at this level. Aspley will most likely play finals with 4 and 5 goal losses to Maroochydore and Noosa and of course Moreton Bay have improved out of sight with wins over Caloundra, Nambour and a 1 pt loss to Maroochydore. If Nambour can implement some of MB's strategies they too will be competitive again. Its a cycle, each comp has to have someone on the bottom. Whats more, I think either Mayne or Maroochydore will be invited to QAFL next year.

That the Aflq fault this what happens when they keep changing the comps around

What I don't understand is how Mayne can be so dominant in 2014, and then go and get a NEAFL standard player of the calibre of Ben Heffernan-Roper, while other teams are arguably getting weaker!

Not saying Mayne are not entitled to pick players up like this, but everyone else must have been asleep at the wheel.

The comp is fairly even except for Mayne and Noosa. They need to go up a grade. Pretty simple. I think at least one of the coast sides needs to be up a grade so the likes of Moloney, copeland, Dzufer etc can live on the coast and still play at a higher grade.

Aspley struggles to get the better players because the money just isn't there because they arnt the top side (NEAFL). They have definitely improved though and so has Moreton Bay. Should be a cracker this weekend..

Nambour have proved to be quite competitive been to a few of there games as I'm a local and in patches both there 1s and 2s have been very competitive but only in patches there just doesn't seem to be any fitness. I meant the south division. Just have the top sides there replace our bottom sides and vice versa the weaker sides play South.

Or give teams time to settle, MB Lions have improved a fair bit from last year think Aspley improved when they have there army boys are playing, Maroochy were probably a bit flat last week and MB put on a good show> Talking to Luke Faulkner recently he reckons MB put on a solid first half and Made Mayne earn their lead. My only fear is this comp wont get the time to settle as teams will probably change divs again. I applaud the other clubs for knowing they are probably up against it but turned up every week and did there best.

Kedron could not have stayed up. Once they lost their coach, they lost all their players. There best army players went to Aspley. They had to go down. I agree that the rest of the comp have gotten better but no one will go close to Mayne.

Not particularly true Noosa had Mayne by the balls for about 3 QTRS in the GF last year.. early days don't you think

Totally agree the Round 1 game against Noosa was a real battle and Noosa's recruits will be better for a few games under the belt...Maroochy this weekend will be very handy by the looks of the names on paper...

7 teams in a comp is not enough, if we had a 10 team comp it would not look 'lopsided' as you say. Easier said than done, but considering I don't this comp is that bad really.

7 isn't enough couldn't believe the AFLQ couldn't even it out to at least 8. this comp isn't that bad it would settle if given time but I am afraid it will get changed again.

Not sure they had them by the balls, it was the first time they were challenged - but the match had a certain inevitability about it.

Then sure enough, 8 goals to 1 in the last quarter and Mayne were comfortable winners in the end.
