Conventional forward line I'm guessing will be 4 premos plus Hogan/Clark/Lonie/Lambert. Is it worth having 3 starting rookies and shoring up the backs? Probably not I feel.
Thats what I have done and its actually not bad.. dont knock it til you try it ;)

Clark averaged 84.1 playing as a key position forward in an utterly shit Melbourne team in 2013, in a much stronger Geelong team, given that teams will play their best defender on Hawkins (as the Crows did with Talia last night), plus doing some pinch hitting in the ruck, Clark is no brainer as a rookie starter in the forwards. Pencil him in for at least a 75 average.

Probably not, I've tried it with bulking up the mids with 6 super Prems and having 3 forward, it just looks a bit arse about. I like the thought mentally of only having to upgrade two more FWD :)

Port

Port easily
Its out of Sydney and Hawf again I think. Sydneys depth isnt that bad, Hawks depth is ****ing great!
Ports depth? Meh! Not fantastic. Hinkley is a gun coach and has already proven himself IMO but not Port. They will be thereabouts me thinks.

FWIW WC won't make finals without E-mac. Opens spots for Sheed and Lamb at start of season. I'm keeping a keen eye on Lamb.

Brown, Edwards, Saad, Hamling, Goddard. I don't think it's as bad as it seems. I think Hamling is the only iffy one really. From all reports the rest look like they will walk straight in.
None of those players besides Brown will have decent enough JS.

I'm really looking into this set up now for the forward line. The fact that Clark also spent some time in the ruck is a great sign, I'm a lot more confident now that he will be a solid enough scorer with good JS to hold down F4 until he appreciates enough for an upgrade. If Lambert is upgraded and plays R1 I think he is also a solid F5, then Hogan, Lonie and Lamb will hopefully play enough games to cover F6.

Might mean starting without Gray because there is so much value in the forwards but I think if this allows you to start with a stronger backline it will put you ahead. A lot of people will be risking it with mid pricers in defence and that could end badly.
