I agree no one has really nailed anything just yet, but considering I had Ibbotson, Goodes, Mumford and Goldstein firmly locked into my starting 22 for the 2 weeks prior to the start of Round 1, and traded them all out on Wednesday, I really feel like i've dodged some bullets.

Ibbotson and Goodes just didn't look right, they might come good but I'm glad I didn't select either of them. And considering the poor scoring from ruckmen in general (I know Goldstein scored 100), going with Naitanui/Bellchambers at the last minute after being sold on Mumford/Goldstein has been a bullet dodged.

I still had some poor scorers this weekend (namely Newnes, Cripps, Salem and Martin), but when I weigh up the above players I had locked in, and some of the other guys I was strongly considering but decided against (Lumumba, Wells, Jacobs, Hibberd, Johnson), i'll be the last guy complaining this round.

Taylor Walker, Ollie Wines and Daniel Rich

At the last minute I swapped Selwood for Burgoyne. Looking good today, but moreso gives me the cash (and the extra swingset) to turn Clanceee Pearce into BSmith, Hairy Lumumba into Daniel Rich, Waqar Newnes into Bontempelli and Salem into the best sub-$250k player I don't have before rnd 3. Also I don't like Duckwood and I do like Burgoyne, & I'm the one who has to watch this shit.

Swapping a probable top 10 midfielder for a probable top 10 defender is not such a bad idea this year.

No such thing as nailing a premium pick after one round. I picked up all the good scoring rookies though which is a start.
