With Clay Cameron, Sebby Tape & Henry Schade all out of contract at seasons end, perhaps we are looking to offload a cpl of them and use the cash to secure Kolo Version 2.0 from the Cats as our 3rd tall in defence?

Eade also said on GC ch9 news tonight, the Suns have made their offer to Dixon, now up to him to make his decision.

I don't think we need JK. Better off developing Tape, Cameron and Schade than getting a player who is of similar ability right now.
If Dixon goes (which i really hope doesn't happen) then that will open a lot of options for getting another player. A midfielder would be much better to aim for even one that is running around in the 2s that would go great for GC. Hallahan is doing pretty well and couldn't get a game for Hawthorn.

Do you know something?

Nope.. Don't know anything for sure.
Just watch enough football.. To relies he doesn't fit..
Saad and Lemmens have both came straight into the back 6 the last 2 years.. Now add Malceski..

Now his behind schade and Cameron.. His 12th inline For a spot in defence yet the longest serving..
Doesn't look in his favour.

If Daniel Hannerbury is as close as they say to signing a 6 year contract to stay at Sydney...
Damn they have some good people working in accounts..
Surely it would mean Parker or Kennedy or Jack or someone from there midfield bridgade would be pushed close to the edge of going to another club..
With Malceski at the Suns already.. We should pursue another..
Im sure Mal would talk us up.

That sounds very negative to me, if it was stated like that (basically take it or leave it) then I would suggest Charlie has run his race at the Suns :(

Stats are 1 thing.. But its the precence and what he brings/adds to the team..
A team without Dixon is 50/50 chance to lose..
A team without Day.. Doesnt change anything.. Just as likely to win..
Plus if dixon doesnt play.. Day doesnt get a touch..
With or without Day.. Dixon still plays as good as usual..
Im pretty illiterate excuse my poor grammer

I hear you Ben Drever and I agree he is a presence when on the field, I just feel that if you put his stats against anyone else wanting 750K (apart from Tippett) they wouldn't stack up.

Well since you mentioned the 750k price tag im with you..
500k yeah ok..
But i meant..
Putting Sam Day and Charlie dixon in the same boat should never be considered..
Sam Day is a jack watts..
Charlie dixon is a travis cloke..

Its a pity as Sam is a lovely guy, I still hope he will turn it around.

Saw this last night.. Thought the same.. And then..
Checked his bio..
His 29!!! 30 next year.. Neally fell off the seat. N thought against putting his name out there..
he was prelisted with us.
still 30 isnt that old, we need some more experienced players

Just needs to find his aggression on the field. Got the skills.

IMO he tends to try and use his leap to much, as a result the defender often gets a fist in the way or pushes him under the ball, he needs to wrestle a little more and protect the drop zone or learn to push off early in the contest and create space, unfortunately to date he hasn't mastered either of these techniques.

Hopefully Rocket has been drilling him on this or if he can't get it then use him as a defender where his leap will be an advantage.

Jat had a look at the Sydney trading/drafting board..
They have no idea how they're squeezing hannerbery in for another 6 years and getting Rid of the COLA at same time..
They are saying they'll get rid of some fat to make it work..
Some are saying.. Trade a prime.. Hannerbery Jack or a Parker and bring in the Mills and Dunkley through the draft. Save some coin.
Others are saying get rid of Jetta or even Craig bird

Sydney wouldn't offer him the contract unless they knew they had the money for other players as well.
A few fringe players might squeeze out but they would know that is coming.
