The early second rounders and average player being offered in this article from Freo and the Eagles is laughable as a "fair" trade
Pick 7 from Essendon would be a real possibility but they are so shit in dealing with other clubs I doubt they would offer it.

I am not sure how I feel about those comments, If he is talking about Hall and Gorringe then so be it, if he is talking about Harley and Dixon then I am worried about us being blasé about top talent walking out the door
The million dollar question is who he was thinking of when he made that comment...I would be thinking more the Matera, McKenzie ilk, as our stocks are OK for half backs and small forwards so Rocket may see them as expendable for the greater good
He did mention that the Suns would make Dixon 'a fair and reasonable offer...and it would be on the club's terms' so that and the 'we want him but some team wants him more' comment gives the impression that the club won't be matching any outrageous offers and the ball will be in Charlie's court as to whether he remains at the club.

Well this is going to tell us something, if he stays it means they have bought into the team before individual mantra Eade is selling
Funny enough if he goes I don't think the culture at other clubs will allow him his previous dalliances anyway but he will be making FAT STACKS YO .
Eade was pretty adament about Dixon wont be continuing his drinking the night bedore routine..

It seems more and more likely that with Eades comments on SEN and Blights about how other teams may want Dixon more than us that he wont be at the Suns next year.
Does Dicko really believe that he is worth 750K AND that he will still be able to drink before a game, I am really annoyed at teh poor culture Bluey allowed to flourish
Need to lock in 2MP to a longer term deal and even look at the key forward in the draft again this year.

Rance has played 118 games and is 25
Dixon has played 56 games and turns 25 in Sept
One will be a 200+ game player, the other, well not so much

yeah he looks a likely type, predicted around pick 4, if we improve in the second half of the year this could be around our pick

Not sure where you get that idea. Schache has been the standout at the U18 Championships and is now firmly the no.1 pick.
The order is currently shapping as Schache KPF, Weitering KPD, Francis tall defender/mid, Parish mid. After that it's more fluid, maybe academy products Hopper and Mills.
Don't want to go too far up the ladder now or past pick 3 you are into midfielders and more midfielders

Perhaps it's just luck, but we did get Touk at pick 29 last year, and he's a total gun. Wouldn't worry too much about which pick we get as our first - we will pick up a gun midfielder or two regardless.

I think I'm keen on a Lachie Weller trade plus pick swaps for Dixon to Freo if he decides to leave?

Obviously him staying is my preference but if he leaves then Freo would benefit us if we can get the Weller trade involved. If it's Brisbane then we could lose him for nothing.
Would people be interested in getting Zac Clarke (in addition to Weller or a 1st rd pick) out of Freo as part of a Dixon deal - has had a good apprenticeship serving as a 2nd ruck and has the flexibility to play forward

Dixon said he had prescribed meds to sleep in the past but felt like crap the next day, where as when he had a couple of glasses of wine he felt fine.
