It's not his first indiscretion, he's been a sook for years, has a pea heart. The tail can't wag the dog, we cannot send that message that having a sob story absolves you from blame or punishment.
You're right he's entitled to hold that view, he's entitled to defend himself, what he's not entitled to do is to air that view publicly, take it up with them in private. He deserves his suspension, you cannot mouth off at the governing body and expect to be allowed to then represent that body.
