Doing this will not change anything in the slightest. It's not TA job to force an opinion down someone's throat. Pretty much explains what's wrong with society as too many people are just content with the status quo. To think this will make Bernie and his dad change their ways/attiude in any way is downright naive. Instead we should looking for a solution to the problem.

Do you actually think the Tomics will ever change? They won't, so it's a waste of time and resources trying.

Agree. You can lead a horse to water but you can't make them drink. TA need to uphold certain standards and if that leads to alienating the Tomics so be it. Bernie and John have been given many chances by TA and have always been welcomed back into the fold after past indiscretions. The ball is firmly in their court.

Have I missed something? When did Kyrgios threaten not to play Davis Cup?

I don't know what's going on there. That wasn't my post that was quoted.

Groundhog day for Nick with the same draw as last year. It is sort of the reverse of the Raonic situation though. Raonic was carrying an injury this year and going worse than when he beat Nick last year. Gasquet is going a lot better this year than when Nick beat him last year. Genuine 50/50 I think.

I would be a lot more confident with Tomic. Kukushkin and Golubev play above themselves in DC. You'd back Kyrgios/Tomic to win 3/4 of the singles ties no problem, the other guys you couldn't bank a singles rubber with.

Be interesting to see who gets the 2nd singles rubber. I'd actually prefer Kokkanakis.

Goffin to defeat Stan the Man hey?

On grass yes, that match is a real toss of the coin. Wawrinka is absolute poison odds on a surface he struggles with. Goffin was sensational against Bagdatis and Marcos plays grass well.

Grass suits Groth more but in the pressure situation I'd be backing the Kokk too. They should be able to win the tie with Kyrgios and the doubles but gee I wouldn't be confident if it made it to the fifth rubber. They'd probably sub Hewitt in to lose in 5 sets!

That would be the other option. If we take the view that Lleyton has 2 matches in him (maximum), why not use him in the first day, try to go 2-0 with the doubles and Kyrgios' singles to come.

Did I read correctly somewhere that TA have advised that Tomic will be welcomed back to the Davis Cup semi final squad if we win the quarters :/

Quality.
During the third round match between Roger Federer and Australian Sam Groth at Wimbledon's centre court on Saturday, six members of The Fanatics attempted to chant, 'we love you Grothie, oh yes we do,' before being shut down by the crowd who booed, shushed and said to 'sit down.'

After continuing to rise out of their seats and chant a further three times, they were approached by a representative of Britain’s armed services and told to stop or face eviction from further matches.

The Fanatics do get annoying but that just reeked of a typical British toff whinge. Can't have anybody making noise during their gentlemanly event. "Their shirts don't even have collars".

I love Wimbledon more as a result now. If only the Australian Open did the same. Nothing worse than a bunch of bogans singing rubbish annoying other patrons.

Why should others who have paid lets say $150 a pop be subjected to singing for 5 hours giving them a headache? Clap sure, applaud sure. That is it.

Who knows, doubt he will even play under Rafter's leadership anyway.

I agree with most of these except I think Stan will win in 4, depends on which Stan turns up though.

That match is an absolute 50/50. Forget the odds. Goffin is a genuine grass courter, and has a game that will trouble Wawrinka and it is Stan's worst surface. I won't be shocked if Goffin wins.

^ Have you chucked some coin on Goffin? Paying $4.45

Yep, not a lot but a small amount, also have a fraction on Maddison Keys' opponent too although I expect Keys to win in the end.
