In the years I played for and subsequently followed the Monders I've never witnessed that sort of behavior on a consistent basis. If ever anyone got a little too rambunctious they got a tap on the shoulder very smartly. Maybe it's the company you keep.;)
Ormond are a well run club. A strong supporter of junior football and hold sporting values highly. Can't imagine any arse clowns lasting too long around the club.

OG will need them. Another bunch of over rated soft school boys. How are that travelling in their search for a 2's or clubbies flag this year? Aiming for 7th or 8th in the 1's?

Was only a matter of time before this classic gag resurfaced.

Yep, we've had crisis meetings down at Como Park, with the Seniors sitting at 3-1, and performing better than the 2's. I'm sure we'll drop a few good players back to the ressies this week to keep you fellas happy.

I'm glad to hear it. I would hate for your D1 status to be in jeopardy. Heaven forbid if you were to actually make it into C grade. Heads would roll if this was to happen

In summary - the Ormond boys think they've won the flag (in May) after beating an undermanned St Marys outfit. They also have abusive supporters.

My tip for the GF - Kew v St Marys. Both sides will have too much youth, speed and fitness for Ormond later in the season

You just confirmed your a f wit, when don't you get it that Ormond had more out of the firsts than your nancy boys. No one at Ormond is thinking that and as Beamsy 9 said wait till 18 rounds are played.

Talking to a Nodder player earlier today. The Nodders played SMS in a pre-season praccy. The sniper whacked the Nodder player from behind even in a praccy. He pulled him to the ground and when he was on the ground the turd threw another one.

Says something about the standards the coach allows when that sort of poor discipline is tolerated.

Perhaps the college needs to take more interest in what's happening at SMS before they further tarnish its good name.

Seeing poor disciple is apparently acceptable at SMS either the umpires do something about the turd or maybe he needs to spend a few weeks taking his meals through a straw.

I did watch the D2 Granny last year. Undisciplined play by SMS in Q1 cost them the game. Excellent coaching in Q4 by Kew got them home. Scratching my head to remember exactly, but some crude play early on. Perhaps someone can help me out.

In years gone by AM cars used to park on the flank and afterwards and the cars left you would see cans of alcohol littering the place where the cars were, that area was renowned for awful behaviour, perhaps when you played AM you were kicking off the dew and no one was there..There was also an ex ruckman that used to yell abuse at the umps and they complained to the VAFA. That was some years ago and as I said that has been tidied up. But it did happen AM.

You are a goody 2 shoes. It goes on everywhere , beer in coffee mugs etc, in cars at some grounds. Last year a 4wd pulled up at Peninsula , opened the back hatch and there was an esky full.

My guess is you were one of the former neighbours who got their jollies from complaining rather than anyone directly associated with the club as you appear to be more than happy to regularly take snipes at the club. I'd be willing to wager I know a fair bit more about what went on well after the "dew" kickers than you.

I deliberately put a word in italics for a reason. Never suggested there weren't some issues. There were and are at all clubs. What I was putting is they were addressed when they arose and weren't ongoing. The ruckman to whom you referred was reprimanded. Never occurred again. Just as 'unders' who played up after a flag win were put to rights after misbehaving. One never played for the club again.

Quite wrong to hint drinking was regularly occurring during games too. The club was very conscious of the VAFA penalties for such matters. Not saying there may not have been instances (as with many clubs I'd suggest - often by people with no association to the home club) but it wasn't ongoing.

The one matter with which we agree is that the club has never been run better. Kudos to Richie Symon and people like Bedford who are stalwarts.

All I was pointing out was that issues have occurred in the past and those that did drink on the flank were Ormond players from reserves and supporters - fact. Agreed those days are gone bur it would appear from Bedfords post that drinking at games is still prevalent. It doesn't worry me as long as it is responsibly served but that is not allowed by the VAFA, so people bring in there own= not controlled. Just once again the VAFA hierarchy try to hold themselves up to be something they are not and cannot control..

Bedford and Richie and a few others are doing a fine job by the looks of it though..

But on a positive note Ormond will win the flag easily this year, may get some opposition from 1 team the rest are just making up the numbers until 2016.

Does anyone else find it a joke that the visitors rooms at Toorak Park are on the other side of the ground, when there are rooms on the other side.

And they are bloody horrible! Can barely fit the players in let alone officials, trainers etc? Toilets are disgusting and lucky to get 2 minutes hot water. Your players are in for a treat. Pretty sure that what were the away rooms in the old VFA days were converted into social rooms for OX and PA.

Must say the deck out at TP is now fantastic. Took a while to catch on but Stonnington council has now upgraded the drainage and surface to all VAFA affiliated clubs.

There are still 2 rooms that side as it was when I played VFA, albeit a fair while ago.

We might be on different page here. The area under the grandstand was remodelled and now contains home change room, social rooms and umpires room. Other rooms used for storage of cricket and other gear I believe.

The rooms at the two blues were awful a few years back, Bedford a VFA player - which club? - the Burrough????
