13.8 plays 8.7
Younger, faster, tougher. Wanted the ball more. Simple.
Well done both teams for getting up to C.
Martinov may not have had a possession. I certainly didn't see one. Will not need a shower post game as Cochrane has already given him a bath.
Sounds a bit personal.

Not at all. You expect a star player to turn up on GF day. The shower bath is a joke. Was there and just told it as I saw it. Didn't care who won or who played well.

I left with 5 to go. Was over and wanted to beat the rush. Thought the big Kew ruckman was great. 12 with the long hair. Cochrane for his shut down. 42? With the big blonde hair stood out. 13 was good down back. Very poised.

Spot on Privateye! A cheap shot directed at one of the clubs most decorated players. Easy to do from the grandstand nicely tucked away out of harm's way.

Whether you like the Bears as a club or their supporters as a group, credit must go to them for their climb through the grades and for their win today. They beat the Monders reasonably clearly in 3 of the 4 encounters so deserve the silverware.

While disappointed at today's result the Monders should be pleased with the season and the elevation to Prem 'C'

Wrong thread, but while on Prem 'C'. After being pilloried on this board early on Haileybury has proved its detractors had NFI.

On a side note: watching Aitken coaching is hilarious. Like a cat on a hot tin roof. Wears his heart on his sleeve. Full white line fever. Gives full bakes to players when they come off. But his record speaks for itself.

It was shocking cheap shot. Sorry. Imagine saying the old someone doesn't need a shower as they had a bath line.. Terrible. I'm sure the player in question will be horrified and be seeking legal advice.

Quite simply he had a Barry Crocker. Whoopy do.
Was at the game today, and saw two young teams, except for the obvious names.

Yes Martinov had a tough day at the office, the delivery wasn't great, even Brazzale didn't have a great day.

VAFA should hold more finals at Coburg oval. Great atmoispher and good sized ground, not 200 miles from no where.

There will be many jumper clashes in C next year.

Brazzles 2 goals were important as early on was the only time Ormond looked likely.
Agree re atmosphere and ground. Was great.
How good were the 5-6 Kew players that were about 5 foot 8 and weighed between 60-75kgs.
Don't know names but gee they were hard at it and fearless.

Congratulations to William Balme on playing in his third straight senior flag with Kew. Was pilloried earlier on here for his erroneous writing (and in an earlier post was referred to as a "reserves player" who should have been able to get to other games).

Clearly he is an accomplished senior triple premiership key defender. Not many can lay claim to that title in suburban football.

Well done Balmey (aka willybee), looks like your decision to don the brown and gold over a claret and stout jumper has been very wise indeed.

Just on that note:

Well done to the two umpires from the "August 15th game".
Both officiated in Grand Finals yesterday, one in Div 2 (Res) and the other in U19 (Premier).

Agreed. All scribes rock. Tough gig.
Good to see big Neil Balme supporting there yesterday.

Your first posts suggests you do care who won and played well/bad.

Congrats to Kew. They were fantastic.
Potting a club stalwart is scraping the barrel.

Yep well done and being a triple premiership at any level is a fantastic achievement. However he did don the claret and stout and there is a very good reason he no longer does. He would be the first to admit this but at best willybee was a battling 3s player who after struggling for a kick in Xavs second U19 team realised he was never going to play senior (or maybe even reserves) football at ‘A’ grade level.

Much prefer seeing blokes playing senior football in lower grades that chasing glory in 3rds and clubbies at higher ranked clubs. Reckon C grade will test him and a few others though.

Didn't care who won.
He played like a chunky crab. Perhaps his best is now well behind him. No big deal. Not the first to have a shocker on GF day and won't be the last. Doesn't mean he hasn't been a club great. Just stunk it up yesterday.

If it's no big deal then stop the tedious repetition.
