Well done to OM today-great game and they were just a touch too good. Heartbreaker in the twos which made for a touch days all round for us.

Seniors will bounce back-wasn't much in it and our goalkicking was awful.

Plenty of sad people heading back to the western district tonight.

Holy shit this finals series just got very interesting! Bring on the prelim.

Oh boy we have a big prelim coming up. PEGS have seemed to have seriously found their mojo, although it did appear Therry limped into the finals.

And Old Geelong are heading to there 4th prelim in 5 years, obviously having lost all 3 previously. Could it be straight sets for the Oggers or can they bounce back and do a job on the resurgent PEGS?

Only time will tell.

With FWIW's permission, I would like to comment. We were very unlucky on Saturday. Poor kicking early, our inability to control the tall marking Mills cost us dearly. Having said that, the scores were level well into the last quarter and OM's just got the momentum at the right time.

We will bounce back and George will play better than he did on Saturday.

FWIW who played on Mills and what quarters did he kick his goals in?

Ahh.. So you don't believe I was there and I have to prove it to you ? Seriously ? Mills best quarter was the third ..2 goals I reckon and missed another .

What is next ?

I'll miss the D1 banter!

Can our ressies stay in the same grade? Or maybe we can just field one team and compete in the reserve grade, I mean after all that's what we do anyway!

D1 team of the year is out ...............What do we think lads?

I will start things off......
- Interesting that the coach is the coach of a team that finished low on the ladder
- the captain starts on the interchange
- Stoked to see the skipper (Lovell) and the young jet (R B-M) making the team from IAFC

Is that stat true regarding OGGS?

Brenton Egglestone is a gun. Very impressed with him at CHB. Easily best defender in D1.
Brad Jones stiff to not make it. Other PEGS players deserve it.
Don't get the coach decision??

Captain for old mentone that wears the headband and plays in the middle probably little stiff

Geelong's finals form looking shaky...

2012 lost prelim to Peninsula.
2014 lost prelim to Therry Penola
2015 lost prelim to Ormond
2016 Who knows?????

A preview for this weeks game....

Round 18's demolition job by OGs on PEGs seem so long ago now. PEGs appear to have a few young guns back from the TAC Cup and Geelong look like they are tiring after having there 10 game winning streak broken last week. It will be a battle of the star studded forward lines with Skurrie and Vujanic for PEGS vs. Wood and Burbury for OGs. Baddeley vs Hoevenhaaaaars in the ruck will be vital as well.

I think PEGS may get over the line and condemn Old Geelong to their 4th prelim loss in 5 years.

Agree wholeheartedly with the TOTY sentiments. Currie and Massa were head and shoulders our two best and aside from old man Badds (taking his zimmer frame into the centre square) it's a slick unit they've picked.

I sincerely hope PEGs win this one as I hate trekking out there to play half ground footy in the slipstream of an A380 Airbus.

Nice Try flog. Now what do you have to say?

Oggs to C section-well deserved.

Aren't you a good judge! Can't wait for your Grand Final Preview.

GO OGGS!!!!

GO OGGS!!!!

Probably that OG lost 3 preliminary finals in a row until today. Not sure he was doing much more than pointing out a fact so ‘flog’ might be a bit harsh. Opinions still allowed on BF?

Well done on the promotion and good luck in the big dance. Two best sides all year so fitting that get to go at it next week. (Didn't think you were called OGGS anymore?)

I read the post as having a dig at OGs for losing three straight PFs and even though they beat PEGS easily in Rd 18, predicted OGs to lose.

Winners are grinners.....

Not a regular on this thread but didn't interpret it as a dig

Wasn't arrogant
Used facts
Gave a tip in a non arrogant way
No way a dig

ammo football has a rich history of digs at us (pafc) so I took it as he was giving Ogs a clip.
Bad day for us going down to a good pegs side and then watched Ogs basically dominate pegs for most of the day. Livori is a star he was pretty much their only bloke that could hold his head high maybe flaherty as well.
How many pegs blokes are going to throw the towel in? V old, v slow.
