I'm more into 80s/90s and also some noughties, not much into music from this decade though as it's mostly rubbish like Ke$ha.
Well we could abandon this slow arse thread for the Song Contest, but bloody Wooshette is even slower than Sparkles.

I have some music taste, though admittedly electronic stuff is my lifelong baby, but I don't go out of my way for 70s/80s shit that the Gen Xers like Plugger would listen to.

90s onwards is my domain

The late 70's early to mid 80's English stuff inspired so much of the 90's, as did the punk outbreak in the mid 70's in both USA and uk. Television, the clash, joy division, the smiths, simple minds, the cure, pixies, talking heads, rem are just some of the brilliant stuff from that era. Separately, and differently Springsteen and queen still stand up as products of the 70's.

I'm not denigrating the 90's, just defending the shit.

The amount of melting we've seen so far -beginning with KardiniaPark- bodes awfully well for FOTY.

In my day electronic music was called Techno and was only listened to by campaigners who wore Sesame Street pajamas on the ******* train and whos diet consisted of mdma/microdots/specialK and the occasional chuppa chup.

Ah the memories.

Ketamine.
Oft thought of as a Horse tranq but is actually a drug used in a Vetinary setting primarily to prevent the gag reflex in Cats under anesthesia.
(My mates mum was a vet and he supplied three quarters of Melbourne at one stage)
Well actually to be technical 'Special K' refers to a combo of speed and ketamine which I guess counteract each other and make for a fun time.

I'll start with this classic from Pitbull

Dale,
one-two-three-four
Uno-do'-tres-cuatro
I know you want me (want me)
you know I want cha (want cha)
I know you want me
you know I want cha (want cha)
I know you want me (want me)
you know I want cha (want cha)
I know you want me
You know I want cha (want cha)

(Hahaha)

shard = methamphetamine
speed = amphetamine

Mate if you think NorthernLights is nasty then you might want to see yourself out cause you're not going to enjoy yourself very much here.
Complaining about NL is like whining that the lube the large African American bloke just smeared on your arse is a bit cold, I mean you're probably right but just wait for what happens next...
I don't think he is nasty really, just worthless, he contributes nothing,seeing his name is an invitation to roll my eyes:rolleyes: and scroll on,

The 70s were solid, imo it just lead on from the 60s revolution.

The 80s sucked, if you liked your rock then sure, but it didn't offer much more than that
