I never said we would never take it down, i never said it should never be taken down. I said the reason it hadn't been taken down was because it was low priority, I said they had more important things to spend their money on than replacing it. The expense is never in covering it up, if you genuinely think that's what people saying then no wonder you were confused.
I also said the most likely thing they would do is just paint over it.

Funnily enough by taking it down the club did validate your criticism. I stand by my 'who cares' position, but at the same time if it was the club's inclination to remove it and hence not take that position, why did they wait until the end of January?

To be fair though, it's not implausible that the explanation is linked to the thread. I.e. the reason/timing for removal could be linked to the brand of equipment on display in the picture.
